Fight Carnage: Jabs Added

There has been an update to the Fight Carnage feature (lets just stop calling it an event). The first fight is now a 'Jab' and it only costs 5 stamina. After that everything is the same. The stamina costs are still based on a percentage of your stamina pool. They do go down when your stamina is close to being depleted but it's always been that way [1]. This is an improvement because it will cut down on wasted stamina for fights lost. If you lose a fight it will only cost 5 stamina.

  1. My overall stamina per click has been reduced from something in the 1800s to somewhere in the 1600s... roughly about a 20 - 25% reduction--haven't done the math--but it doesn't matter. Zynga keeps tweaking when several people have received information to suggest carnage isn't permanent, so why are they wasting their time? Are they trying to negotiate with players? Will they keep messing with it until complaints die down and then they will leave it at that level of stamina/click? This isn't a negotiation. Zynga needs to put things back the way they were. We invested both time and money into our stamina pools, based on the original cost of fighting. We did it because we wanted a long lasting fighting experience. That is no longer possible under this scheme. I have over 120K stamina, and it feels as if I have 5K. The only reason the stamina is not gone in seconds, as opposed to minutes, is because of the 5 second delay in between attacks.

    1. Likewise my fight win count for total fights no longer rises for the stamina spent. As for the city fight 10,000 win achievement that might as well be tossed out the window. Now no matter how many times I am told I win I never see the total fight score rise.

  3. i am guessing that this is gonna be permanant? for my main account this deals with my two gripes with the devs that i have to rob at the end of my stamina stream to use the lasts 900 odd stam (my stam cost) and also deals with my issue of lost xp from lost fights... BUT i still feel as if i am getting less or around 2.2 xp from my fights and not the 2.3 i think we all used to get ?

  6. the only thing positive I had to say about carnage was that you got lots of XP from won attacks. Now it's just one jab and 11 xp and those people move on. it used to be 700 to 3000 xp. great tweak, they effed up the only good part!
    Maybe I wont quit but I guarantee you Zynga Im not spending a penny more

  8. Another problem with the carnage is fights won and lost on attacker's stats and and attacked account's stats do not reflect the correct number given the increased stamina used. For example if account A attacks account B and wins with one carnage shot of 1500 stamina in NY, the wins for account A increase by only 25 and the losses for account B only increase by 25, not 1500.

    1. You are right, and the passive xp hasn't changed either, as I said in an earlier comment on another topic, but no one seems to believe me. If you get hit and you win the attack, you only get between 5 and 15 xp for that hit, even though it shows as a couple of thousand in the players updates, yet everyone seems to be sooo excited about the gargantuan xp they're apparently getting.

  9. I think this is pretty much the Mafia Wars death knell for me. It's just been one stupid, new feature after another. I got on for the first time in five-six days and realized that I really didn't miss playing at all.

  10. Without bothering to fight (for all the reasons that have been listed) it takes 5 mins once or twice a day to play MW. I have never aspired to be a serial leveler but I'm ok with people who want to play that way.
    So all the activity is in the Arena which is now running like crap LOL
    I mean if Zynga is worried about server load they should just give people 2.2 exp per stamina and energy on login and save us any server use at all!. Don't make a game that relies on server usage and then whine that your servers are being used! FFS
    And for me, all the loading issues and server is taking its time messages are just as bad or worse than before carnage. The game has reached new levels of boring.
    Why do we bother "whining" about "just a game"? Because it was once a fun game and we are pained to see it suffer this long, tortuous death due to Zynga ignorance.

  11. This cannot remain permanent, if it does it will be the death of the game. It is not something any player long time or new has said they want. Why not listen to your players and stop making changes we don't want? It is us who have invested time and money in the gamed over the years. That should count for something!
