Mafia Wars Daily Metrics Dip

Share:

There were 8,669 less players today than there were the day before. I think people are getting fed up with the loading issues and all the Facebook crap. We have yet to see Zynga acknowledge there are issues and they keep pumping out events as if there is nothing wrong. A little reassurance from Zynga could do so much more. How many of these players were VIP players who cancelled their subscriptions? ‘Benefits’ mean nothing if the game doesn’t work.

  2. Do you think that Zyng-losers are wanting to kill this game? I don't really find it as much fun any longer as it used to be either. LA is WAY to difficult and to get enough cash to complete anything is B.S. It's been the same with South Africa too. I won't finish it up before it closes since the cash prerequisites of each job are hideous!!!! Thanks Zyng-losers. I can get back to a REAL life and not have to play this game. I remember when it first started out and was SOOOOO much fun. I have met some nice folks though and some even met in real life!

    1. SA isn't that tough if you build your account right. Money isn't a problem if you can fight.

I started a new mini 2 weeks ago, she started SA last Friday and is well on schedule to finish it. She's now level 720. She can't get money fighting as the FL is dreadful for low levels so she just farms for cash for a while when she runs out. She can serial level at the moment (I may change that when she's bigger) but for now my goal is to get as many SP & achievements out of SA as I can.

    2. I feel the same way as you, The game used to be soooooo much fun! I guess it is time to go play real life and stop playing a broken game that sends no data from a server. I am going to keep the special friends I have made over the past few years - that is the best part the friendships I have made playing mafia wars! <3

  3. When passion is the driving force behind a venture, it has a good chance of sustained success but if money is the sole passion then this is an inevitable result.

    1. Amen to that. Zynga doesn't care about anything but money. They don't care about the errors in the game... they don't care about their VIP members... they don't care about their other gamers. they ONLY care about squeezing us for money every which way they can. That's why we are seeing all these crappy good-for-nothing copy/paste events. When one event expires, we can be sure two new will pop up right after. This game is driven solely for the greed of money... and the quality of the game shows. But as long as people are addicted to the game, they will keep paying... and Zynga knows this... that's why they are in a position to NOT give a f**k about anything or anyone.

And if we all stopped paying (I know it's not possible) they would just shut the game down and open up a new game... based on the same concept as this one... Zynga is the worst company in the world to be running a business. But they don't care... so... nothing can be done about it.

  4. People are also in a rage because they are closing South Africa AND a lot are suspecting they're trying to force everyone to play from mobile, so they are getting out now, rather than later. People are done with wasting time on a game where Zynga has no respect for the desires of the players.

  5. Im done, they have blocked me from posting in groups for no reason, are blocking my mini accounts one by one, asking for us to do more and more with a game that half the time just will not run and with 8 hour timers on many things, expect us to be playing around the clock, it has become more of a job to play instead of the fun outlet it used to be, with all the begging events they constantly run, the only way to finish them is having minis, they game is on a downward swing and with the new facebook upates going into effect, i'm hopping off the boat before it sinks, I have been playing since the myspace days, when NY was the only city to play in, so it was a long time outlet for me and now i have just had enough.....

  6. Its pretty obvious they are intentionally letting things go. They did the same thing with MW on Myspace many years ago. Bangkok had just been opened there (much like LA here now) but there were tons of issues, game loading issues and other problems that were not being addressed, and nobody could get any answers and Zynga, they went silent. about 6 months later we all got our "notice" that it was shutting down. The writing on on the wall folks! I for one wont be duped twice! Cancelling my VIP tomorrow and never doing business with this sorry excuse for a company ever again!

  7. Zynga needs to move away from FB but its not feasible to put MW (as it is now) onto a mobile device. I think they have been deliberately trying to drive players away for a while so its easier to justify shutting it down.
As a business model Zynga has a lot to learn about customer satisfaction (happy customers spend more money) but perhaps it was always in their gameplan to milk it for what its worth then walk away when its burnt out. After all, no-one really gets hurt when a company folds, do they?

  9. "There were 8,669 less players today than there were the day before."

So it's just that one player left?

  10. Losing my will to play the game too I'm afraid... I will be cancelling my VIP subscription later today ... another VIP subscriber bites the dust
