Excessive White Page Loads

Share:

Not very long ago it seemed that every time you loaded Mafia Wars, you got this. It appeared to be fixed but now it’s back with with a vengeance. Instead of needing to load the game twice (which was annoying) you now need to load it 3-5 times. I can’t say how many times I wanted to do something in Mafia Wars, got this annoying page a few times than just gave up.  White page loads are causing less determined players to do something else with their computer time. Zynga needs to make it stop!

  1. On the contrary... isn't this what everyone claims to be enjoying? lol. MW is a wonderful game and is very enjoyable... right? ;)

    2. Zynga doesn't give two flying flips about multiple accounts any more. I don't even think their new ToS speaks to multiple accounts, or scripts for that matter. That said, I only have the one. Not sure how people can keep track of more than one account at a time, but kudos to them for their advanced multi-tasking skills lol :)

  4. I can't speak for anyone else, but it is more between 20 - 30 tries (no exaggeration) before I can get the game to load. It started happening two days ago, and it has only gotten worse since then.

  5. It has never gone away for me and yes, is worse than ever. Trying to click on peoples links to help is getting extremely frustrating

  6. Try this the next time it happens. Bring up a command line window and enter - ipconfig /flushdns - this will empty the dns cache that redirects your browser. If it still happens, try - ipconfig /renew - which resets something in the Internet configuration protocol. If it still happens, I have no other suggestions, other than to play Condy Crush.

  8. its not just white page loads, while playing the game it just stops, several times a day. Its like the servers are being put on pause for several minutes at some recurring time interval for some reason

  11. For me, it will just stop when I am in the middle of something in MW. Might have to wait a minute or so, before after a reload it will then go back to working, till then its just says done when I try reloading. This on top of other issues mentioned.

  12. I've found that when I get that annoying screen if I hit the "go back" arrow instead of "refresh", it clears up faster.

  13. Excessive White Page Loads + South African Sundown Event = Mafia Wars Sundown Event, sometime soon in 2015 (as the metrics went down into oblivion)

  14. all of the above issues listed by others.... been a player since 2010. VIP Emerald and just cancelled/unsubscribed. RL is frustrating enough that I don't need more of that in a GAME. When it stops being fun, it's time to quit.

  16. Wow -- I just found the blog post on this issue. I was having this problem, and continue to have this problem. It takes me sometimes up to 8-10 times to load the page. I've tried going to www.mafiawars.com, direct from Google Chrome, and Lucifer's Happy Place. It doesn't matter. I'm lucky if I manage to log on after 3 load attempts. I contacted Zynga Customer Support on April 27th and was told the following by the rep I chatted with:

Here are the possible causes of the problem according to my research:
 1. There is a problem with your ISP internet connection.
 2. Google Chrome specific issue, usually resolved by disabling Extensions.
 3. Faulty Router or a Router misconfiguration.
 4. Spyware, adware or malware installed on your computer or in your Browser.
 5. Corrupt or invalid Registry keys on your computer.
 6. Corrupt cache in your computer's Temporary Internet folder that requires manual deletion by going to the Temp folder and deleting that cache.

Some advise that I can give is to change the default browser you are using, remove all game extensions, and check your internet connectivity. You can actually see an IT expert to help with this highly technical concern.

Funny how I don't have white page loads with any other programs that I load; only Mafia Wars.
