Los Angeles Asset Raids: Districts 1-3

Share:

Instead of Bandits to knock out or Bosses to take down, Los Angeles offers Assets. Assets are not a living thing but they do have health. Each district of Los Angeles has 1 Asset (with 4 levels of mastery) that belong to ‘an unknown entity plaguing your gangland’. This unknown entity is most likely ‘your arch-nemesis’ who is the mystery man who reveals himself 1 section at a time as you earn Medallions. There are 10 Medallions in total so we won’t know who he is for a long time from now. At this time it’s only possible to earn 3 Medallions and once you do you can see the chest area of your arch-nemesis. He kind of looks like Eugene from the Walking Dead.

Reading about Raiding Assets before you try makes it sound much more exciting than it it. If the instructions don’t make sense there is a tutorial the first time you try.

Zynga makes a generous offer by letting us speed up the first raid for ‘free’ but what they don’t say is the bronze level for District 1 does less damage than the other 2 districts so in the end you end up hitting them just as many times. There is also more information on Assets in the FAQ.

You will need all 3 consumables of each district for each Asset Raid. District This wouldn’t be so bad if the energy requirements weren’t so high. Farming them is not easy. The good news is the requirements appear to be the same for all levels. Assuming they don’t jump up for the gold and ruby levels, the chart below shown how many you will need per raid. Since the number of raids isn’t the same for all players, we can’t say how many you will need to master the district.

The Asset nonsense takes up a large portion of the job page so you have to scroll to get to the jobs. I wish there was a way to collapse it as it’s kind of annoying. Eventually you will get used to it. In order to attack an Asset you need 2 things…1: the required number of consumables and 2. the required amount of stamina. The stamina needed to attack an Asset is 75% of your stamina pool. The more you have the more it will cost. The experience return is a 2.30 ratio and Zynga calls it a reward. You don’t get it until you collect so it could be used for carryover if you are close to leveling. When an Asset is available to be raided the attack button will light up and you will also be notified in the job window you are working on.

All you have to do at this point is click on the attack button to start the raid. A timer will then appear and you need to wait it out or buy it off. While you are waiting, the image of the Asset crackles as if it’s on fire. It’s cool for about a second and it will keep going until the timer ends. When it’s over you can collect the so called ‘awesome’ rewards. These are merely the experience that you would earn from using your stamina and 2 job drop loot items that aren’t very useful.

The timers get longer as you progress in mastery. Bronze is 15 minutes, Silver , Gold and Ruby is 8 hours.

One raid is not enough to knock the health down to zer0. It will take 3 for District 1 and 2 for Districts 2 and 3. I imagine as you progress in level that the mastery per raid will decrease. The buy off amount will probably increase. The bad thing about these Assets is you can’t move to the next tier of jobs until the Asset is at 0 health. Once you get to 0, you will get a Medallion, mastery loot item and a skill points in addition to those awesome rewards.

The bonze and ruby levels also come with an achievement so that is another skill point.

The Assets for Districts 2 and 3 are shown below. The amount of damage done to each Asset is different for different accounts and depends on a set of known and unknown variables. Strength does factor into it.

  1. Can you move to Mexico etc while Raid is being done? Also is it possible to start a raid and then log out of fb and return when it's finished? would be useful to know for the more time consuming raids.

    1. Yes you can. It also carries on Raiding in your absence so that when you log back a few hours later they'll be completed.

  2. I thought the 15 minute raids were time-consuming and boring but my "silver" level raid is 2 hours long.

  5. When you have completed LEVEL 1 and "have" the helicopter.
It allows you to use Stamina to collect consumable doing jobs?
Is this a waste of stamina?
