The 18th Ice Board is now on. The loot items were added to the inventory 2 weeks ago so there must have been a delay [1]. The stats were not updated to accommodate the longer than usual passage of time. Like last time, it’s a Family Leaderboard so you can’t boot the ones ahead of you to earn a loot item. The only way to manipulate the system is to leave your family and join one where you have more ices than the leaders before the event expires. Since so many players will not receive a reward of any type for this event most of us consider it a non-event and it can easily be ignored. As of late a very common saying in Mafia Wars is “It’s only loot!”. Zynga did a hell of a job taking one of the more important aspects of the game down to what we have today. Constant loot refreshes have killed much of what was important and fun in the game. The only good thing about this is not caring about loot makes the game a little easier and a lot cheaper to play.

ReplyDeleteAgreed Loot Lady. I think we also agree on how sad this game has gotten if we write about "not caring" in a game we once loved to play. Getting high powered loot was on of the few joys left in this game and noe even that is close to worthless. People often criticize you for being negative and bad mouthing the game. Those people must have came to the party late because those of us who have played MW since the start hate the way Zynga has ruined the game. Stop blaming all the script users!! They are the only ones keeping this shell of a game running now. Start putting the blame where it belongs and that's Zynga!!
