2X Family Experience Weekend

Share:

Here is something interesting on the Mafia Wars fan page [1]. Tomorrow starts a 2X Family Experience weekend. Zynga doesn’t provide much more information than that so we don’t really know exactly what this means. The best assumption would mean that the Family Experience you collect daily will be double. Will this also double the Family Experience bonus you get from The Mansion and could it possibly include any Family Experience from the Family Business Mission? We will find out tomorrow. It is great that Zynga is providing more opportunities but so far they have been drops in the bucket. Even though my family has completed 77% of Level 13 we are only 70% on the way to getting to Level 15 and need over 23 million Family Experience points to get there. If they are only going to double the amount we collect from progression this will total  606,000 Family Experience that we wouldn't have gotten (assuming the property bonus is included and all 101 members collect) [1]. Smaller families, which are most of them now, are at a huge disadvantage and it would take them more than a lifetime to get there. The requirements for the higher levels are too high.  Rather than give players opportunities to get minuscule amounts of Family Experience Zynga would be better off reducing the requirements. Even better they should just promote all families to Level 15 since they have already done so for 2 that we know of [1],[2].  The Perks aren’t even worth the hassle but getting there is still a goal for many.

  1. why not changing those poor and useless perks? I'm talking about perk 11 (Increase family battle safe house heal rate by 10%), perk 12 (Increase damage to family bosses by 5%), 13 (Increase loot drop rates in Secret Districts by 5%) and these are absolutely a great waste of time for totally useful bonuses.
Perk 14 will be interesting (increase to Mafia attack/defense by 500/500, stamina regenerates 15% faster) but who will survive 'till then?

    1. Very true and the sad thing about 500/500 increase in equipment scores is that most players have over 600,000 so it's not going to make any difference.

    2. I agree with you a lot of the Perks are just useless ...

    3. When these perks were intoduced back in the Stone Age, Zynga probably didn't take into account that it would take 4-5 years to reach these levels, hehe... and was most likely calculating the game to not survive to this point ;) So yes... an update through the perks would be nice, hehe...

  2. We are a small family level 8, 60% to level 9

    Total needed per category: 77,906,250
    Estimated level up date: 25/6/2048
Based on 10 members collecting daily ......

I hope Zynga does read your blog and pay attention (unlike the giggling troll that gave you a hard time in the comments of your family loot drama post). It's great that Zynga are finally doing something to address the FP issue, but its not nearly enough. I think if my house was on fire Zynga would turn up with a water pistol !

    1. Is this one of those comments from Captain Obvious or do you just want to say the same thing as the blog post?

  4. Don't you think that if all some Families are playing for is that certain Level 15, then they will quit once it is gifted to them? If I was MW I would think so.

    1. I doubt it, unless "Jobs" is the last family progress your family completes.
