The bad news is we got another Limited Time Property called the Oil Rig [1]. The good news is we all got 1 extra day on the timer. The most excellent news is that the ask timer has been reduced! We can now ask for any and individual parts every 2 hours instead of every 8 hours. We’ve been asking for this for years and Zynga has finally listened! The feature will now be more like the Crafter’s Choice and Robbing Spree events. We can only ask for parts 3 times a day (12 parts for each round of asking) but the difference is we will have more control over when we ask. 8 hours timers are very difficult for many players. At this time I’m not sure if there is a time update to how often we can send parts to our mafia members or to the timer on the parts we can collect in the news feeds so please comment if you figured it out. This is the best news we have had in a long time. It’s funny that many assume this might be a mistake but there is a post on the Official Mafia Wars Blog so that can be ruled out [1]. Thanks to Rositsa Georgieva and Owen Parker for pointing this out on our fan page.
I have collected 8 upgrades already, so that seems to have been changed to a 2 hour cycle as well.

ReplyDeleteIt seems like you can collect more then 3 times from the upgrade posts also, so maybe they are also on a 2 hour timer, because its 2 hours since i collected at first from feeds and now i got 3 parts again.

ReplyDeleteOne very nice side effect of all this posting and upgrade links is that you can actually get parts from the upgrade links that the bots hasnt got to due to that you have the same old collection limit inside the 2 hour timeframe sort of, anyway its been much easier to actually max out on upgrade feed parts instead of maybe getting 1 every second day or something or from someone with a very small mafia.

As far as how many parts you can give out in a time period, I have made 7 account of which 5 I have tried to keep up to date on the builds. I was never able to do all 5 because of time limits ( days ) or/and not able to give out enough gifts. As I gift myself with all accounts you can do the math. Before I was only able to do 3 accounts ( plus 1 account 1 x a day ) , with this new build I was able to do all 5 accounts 3 x today.

ReplyDeleteEven after i have posted my 3x for the day, i still get the option to post every 2 hrs after that. Sounds good, yes, but every post after the 3 is bunk.
In other words... people who are posting auto will post 12x in a day and only the first 3 will be good if they max.
AND... all the people who click auto will be, "clicking", those links that are maxxed before they are even posted.
The auto posting/clicking/commenting is getting very annoying as a result.
However, all in all it is a good change, and upgrading is a lot easier... especially for those of us who work an 8 hr shift and couldn't post 3x as a result of time constraints unless we posted auto. :)
So, when you get "You have sent 10 parts already..." when does that reset? Thanks!
