The 48th Global Property and the 43rd Limited Time Property is the Oil Rig. If you get to Level 15 you will also get a ‘Grand Prize’ loot item as well as extra building parts and partial energy/stamina refills along the way. You need 471 parts to fully upgrade but the extra parts received as upgrade rewards will reduce the total by 48. The only way to get them is to beg. You won’t believe who it is!

The timer on this property is 17 days and VIP subscribers on the Gold or higher tier of benefits get 22 days. This is one day more than usual. Zynga is either being nice or we will find they changed it. For now the rest of this post assumes the structure of the Oil Rig is like the properties which came before it. UPDATE: The ask timer has been reduced from 8 hours to 2 hours and this is very cool! 

The individual parts needed to upgrade the Oil Rig are Tri-Cone Drill Bits, Treated Lumber and Reciprocating Saws. The Treated-Lumbar is probably not the best part to use for an Oil Rig!  Each “Any Part” request will yield 6 parts in the order shown below. You can also make 1 “Individual Part” request and get 6 specific parts. Each type of request can be made once every 8 hours  2 hours! You can get 4 bonus parts by scanning the news feed and clicking on build and upgrade brag posts. At this time, I'm not sure what the timer reset for these are.

To beg for parts try the Link-a-Nator 2. It auto-updates and is ready to go. The images are static so Don’s Derby is featured but it works for all Limited Time Properties as long as your ask buttons are active.

When you are all filled up on each part, it’s time to build to Level 1 or upgrade to the next levels. The popup displays the rewards you get for upgrading to each new level.

The final reward is a 50% energy refill and a Oil Fish which has stats of 305/219.
Below is a summary of the rewards. The energy and stamina refills are a percentage of your total energy pool and will go over your max energy if your pool is at 100%. These bonuses can also be stacked on top of each other. The bad news is that you lose any extra energy you gained if you level up. For this reason you should upgrade when you aren't close to leveling or when you need it to level. Partial stamina refills were added to the mix 3 properties ago  [1].

Always share your build and upgrade requests with your mafia so they can collect additional parts. As most know, the game will tell you the limit is 3 but it’s really 4 additional parts you can collect every 8 hours. The timer on these extra parts is a little tricky. They are timed from the last one you collect so if you don’t collect all 4 at the same time they will be spread out over the 8 hours period. Posting multiples no longer works as it was nerfed 6 properties ago [1].

The loot items available for crafting from the Oil Rig and the skill points that come with them are listed below.

By now these property upgrade charts are just a novelty as players pretty much know what they want to build. If sorting is desired, use the Property Manager 3. You can group things almost anyway you like and there isn’t so much scrolling involved. For laughs it’s fun to scroll through the entire chart and wonder when Zynga will ever stop. For years players have let them know that they hate this feature and for years they have responded by giving us another one!
