Mexico District 5: Guadalajara

Guadalajara is District 5 of Mexico. It unlocks once you master the bronze level of District 4. Like District 4, the job ratios still suck so most will go back to South Africa once they are finished. The 2nd property in Mexico unlocks in this district and there is another boss, collection and achievements that mirror the other districts.

Like the other 4 districts in this destination there are 10 jobs and 5 job images which go with the story Zynga is trying to tell.

Most don’t care about the story as many of them don’t even make sense but the payouts and requirements are what matter. You earn +1 skill points for mastering bronze and silver level jobs, +2 for gold and +3 for ruby level jobs.

The consumables of District 5 are the Grafted and the Scantest. They can be farmed in jobs 2 and 5 and are required for jobs 3,6,8 and 10. Like the other districts in Mexico, the jobs which make these items require currency so you need to have Pesos on hand to farm them. The best strategy is to farm enough items to master the entire district on the bronze level.

You can also make these items from the Pasaporte Office if you so desire to upgrade it to Level 6 (3 stars).

Here are the requirements and payouts for the District. Only the currency requirements and ratios for the ruby level are shown. The number of consumables are the same for all levels and the jobs that produce them are indicated by a check-mark. The total number needed to master the district are in the bottom row.

Once you master the 3rd job on the bronze level you will unlock the 2nd Mexico Property. It’s called the Carne Shop and looks like a big fat steak house. More details on upgrading this property will follow in a future post. For this post we will just tell you that a Level 10 Carne Shop offers a 10% energy refill every 12 hours, just like the Car Fabriek in South Africa. Both these properties should be on a 8 hour timer like all the others but that’s for a different topic some other day. 

In addition to energy, consumables and currency, you also need equipment to do jobs. The job equipment items for District 5, their cost and number required are shown below. Item costs are not the same for all players because it depends on the status of the Abelha Helicopter which is the Brazil District 4 mastery item. The ruby level Abelha Helicopter grants a 10% discount on City Store items from any destination. The special ability of the mastery item for this district will also factor into the cost (more details on that are further down in this post). The costs shown below are from an account that has a ruby level Abelha Helicopter and a ruby level Veloci-dad which grants a 12% discount on Mexico City Store items. The required number of items is the same for all accounts and only the costs vary. You can sell items used in previous districts if you are low on currency.
There are 5 loot items which job randomly while doing jobs. If they help your scores today they won’t in the very near future so I wouldn’t concern myself with trying to max on them. The drop rate of these items is very low and with the poor ratios it wouldn’t be worth the effort.

The boss of District 5 is Sergio Chapa. These boss fights are like the other 4 in Mexico so we won’t hash it out all over again. Players will always ask about combos and the details on how to figure them out are in the links below. The rewards are also the same and include a variety of consumables, boosts, property parts, currency and skill points.

Basics|Strategy

The boss will appear on the map when he is active or in Diablo Mode.

The collection for District 5 is the Dissection Collection. Items drop randomly while doing jobs and you get +35 defense points for vaulting it.
The District 5 related achievements are the Reban-Adora and the which is earned once you master the ruby level. You get +2 skill points. Beat the boss 15 times and get an achievements, +2 skill points and a Sergio Chapa loot item with stats of 381/296.


As mentioned above, the mastery item for District 5 is the is the Veloci-dad. When you master the next highest level, you lose the old item. The special ability of this item a 5%, 7%, 9% or 12% discount on items purchased in the Mexico City Store. This discount and the one for the mastery item in Brazil are not added together. Each one is taken from the original cost.

Upon mastery of each level you also get 1 Vault Door. The ones from District 4 combined with the ones from this district will be enough to upgrade the Banco Dorado to Level 5 which as of now (and hopefully in the future) is the highest you can go.
