The Agent Miller Issue: Bug or Nerf?

UPDATE: Alan Shook suggests that you fast click the fight buttons for Agent Millers and it will count multiple times. This will have to be a temporary workaround until the issue is fixed by Zynga (if it is an issue for them) or Team Spockholm updates the NPC Assassin.

The following was mentioned in the Derailed walkthrough but it needs to be highlighted before the masses get to Part 9.  If it's not changed, it will be one big hot mess for our fan page as well as Zynga. Part 9 has an objective in which the player needs to kill Agent Miller a certain number of times (it's varies between accounts). We have seen this task many times in Missions and normally whoever needs to be killed appears on the fight lists multiple times and is repopulated with new ones until the required number have been killed. For the Derailed Limited Time Mission Agent Miller behaves a little differently. When you click the ‘Go Now’ button or just go to any of the 5 destination fight lists he may or may not appear. If you are lucky enough to get an Agent Miller, he is only listed 1 time. When you kill him, a new one is not automatically added and you need to refresh the fight list to get another. This wouldn’t even be that bad if there was at least 1 Agent Miller per refresh but many times there aren’t any so you need to keep refreshing until you get one. We all are familiar with how long it takes to load a page in Mafia Wars and killing Agent Millers an excessive number of times (even a few) is an exercise in frustration.  Jo Gilliam provided us with a walkthrough and posted it on our fan page. She got so frustrated with this task that she bought it off and was so happy to be done with it that price was no object. When I got there, I gave up and used the images Jo provided for the rest of the walkthrough. It’s a lot of manual labor and I suspect it’s a bug. If this is intentional then Zynga better be able to handle all the Customer Support inquiries this will generate. I thought there was something wrong with my Mission because it took about 10 tries to get my first Agent Miller. When I discussed this with Jo, she had the exact same issue. Below is a comparison of this task in a previous Mission and what we see today.

Agent Miller recently appeared in the See No Evil Limited Time Mission offered last month [1]. Reviewing the screen shot you can see he is on just this captured portion of the fight list twice. The average was about 5 or 6 per fight list and when you knocked him out new ones magically appeared. 

For the Derailed Limited Time Mission, there is only 1 Agent Miller on the list more times than not a refresh will yield 0 Agent Millers.

In previous objectives of this type, we could easily kill all the Agent Millers by using the NPC Assassin Spocklet.

Because of the updates, this script no longer works because there aren’t any Agent Millers to be found.

Even without using the NPC Assassin, this task wasn’t that bad and the only complaint most had was that it was hard to locate the Agent Millers because he doesn’t really stand out on the fight list. We have often joked that it was the equivalent to playing Where’s Waldo. Now it’s like playing Where’s Waldo Extreme because there may not even be a Waldo to find. In fact it’s worse than Where’s Waldo because it takes so long to refresh. I really hope Zynga will revert it back before too many players get to this part.
