Collectable Stat Cards Set 30: Golden Age

Share:

The 30th Set of Collectable Stat Cards is called the Golden Age and brings to us the 2nd round of Stat Card Stakes. The good news is that the timer is for 10 days instead of 7 like last time. This means we can acquire up to 30 Cards instead of 21. Each day you can earn a maximum of 3 cards and they drop from jobs, fights and robs at the rate of 1 every 2 hours. The bad news is Zynga did some nerfing of the skill points associated with the common cards so we will probably end up with less skill points than we did for the last event of this type. If you plan on purchasing the rest of the cards then there is more bad news. In addition to increasing the cost of the cards by 3 reward points each, the number of skill points you receive for completing each series has decreased from +5 to +2. You will need to spend more to get less. More details along with the skill points awarded for each card are shown below.

Free cards drop from Jobs, Fights and Robs once every 2 hours and you can only get 3 per day. Once they drop they are counted as draws and you have to go open them up. card2 card3

The card images and the skill points assigned to each card are shown below. If you compare these with the last set, you should notice that 2 of the common cards only offer +1 health points [1].  I imagine these 2 cards will be the ones we see most from our draws. The common cards were nerfed last time as well and this is going on ridiculous. Looking back at the pre-Stat Card Stakes era, you can see the common cards were much more desirable as far as skill points are concerned [1]. series1 series2 series3

In addition to getting 10 loot items that also drop in specific districts, you also get +2 skill points. The number of skill points has been reduced as it was +5 for the last set. rewardseries1 rewardseries2

Comparing the number of cards needed and the skill points gained, it’s pretty clear that the 29th set was a better.

Less purchases were needed to complete the set this time but there were still many too many duplicates and that stinks!

Yeah, my first two draws and I get duplicates, and, of course, both are the +1 Health.

I just can't figure out why Zynga would take a bad deal, and make it worse. This makes no sense.
