Mafia Blackjack Progress Update

Had it not been for the 2 day extension of Mafia Blackjack [1], the event would have expired at 12AM PDT today. It turns out I didn’t need the extension to beat the 3rd boss and we predicted in the walkthrough that most should be able to do so if they collected all their Chips each day. We also warned you that nobody but those willing to spend between 1,000 and 1,500 reward points would defeat the 4th boss. All it took to predict what is now fact was a little math and probability analysis which was provided by Neil Mackay’s spreadsheet shown in the walkthrough. Although we suggested that raising your bets was not worth the risk, it did pay off for Willie Coleman (second screen shot). He got closer than anyone I’ve seen (without buying Chips) because he often raised his bets and got lucky when he did. Sadly it didn’t pay off enough and he will get the same rewards as I did. As we stated in an earlier post, the difference in rewards between the gold and ruby levels aren’t worth getting upset over missing or spending any reward points to get [1]. I won’t be playing Mafia Blackjack anymore because I know 2 days isn’t enough to do 12,000 in damage (the 12 days we get isn’t even enough). I will continue to collect Chips on the off chance that Zynga decides to extend the timer again. If another season of Mafia Blackjack is bestowed upon us who knows if you will be able to use your extra Chips from this season (I doubt it but it's always possible).
