Francis Rages is a well known YouTube ranter who has quite the following. He is pretty opinionated about all things XBox and because of this we get our first glimpse into what players think of the newly named CEO of Zynga, Don Mattrick. If you enjoyed this video, go here for his views on Don’s famous XBox quote. Thanks to Susan Wells for sharing on our fan page. Mafia Wars is pretty slow and repetitive right now so I’m happy to have something to blog about.

This guy need some fitness ))) xbox is killing him :/
ReplyDeleteWho cares what he says ! Dude will probably drop over dead from being so over weight.
ReplyDeleteWell just because the man is in poor health doesn't mean that he doesn't have the right to voice his opinions. You are going to drop dead one day too...hopefully it will be old age when you are 105, but you most definitely are going to drop dead. So does that mean that nobody should care what you say either?
DeleteOut of breath just from sitting?
ReplyDeletei can't blame the guy afterall it is worth $50 million to him... http://techcrunch.com/2013/07/03/zynga-mattrick-2/
ReplyDelete"He starts with a sign-on bonus of $5 million, a base salary of $1 million, then gets a pro-rated minimum annual bonus that is either worth 200 percent of his salary or the average bonus percentage for the rest of the company’s executives — whichever is greater."
Delete200 percent of 1 million is 200 million. If he leaves even like tomorrow his exit payout is 400 percent... that is what 20% of the workforce is worth.
And that may explain why 18% of the work force was recently let go. Nice company. Make 520 people miserable and without a job so one guy can have a crack at it. It's really disgusting.
Deleteisn't 200 percent of 1 million = 2 million ?
Deletei mean, wouldn't 100% of 1 million be 1 million....
200 percent of 1 million is 2 million. Just saying ;)
Delete>.< Ok guys, some days I so should use a calculator!! Yes, I read it very wrong. Mea Culpa I was in error.
Deleteand yet despite how "disgusting" you think this is you continue to play/promote mafia wars.
DeleteOMFG... this was awkward, informative, and HILARIOUS all wrapped into one. schaaaaaanks for the info Francis!
ReplyDeleteExcellent sources loot lady. Do you really think anyone will view the spew coming from the well exercised pie hole of this morbidly obese sweaty bacon and twinkie addicted basement sloth to amount to anything other than industrial grade fart gas? It seems the doughboy gets his day in the sunshine here merely because he is the long standing master of ceremonies from your dungeons and dragons parties.
ReplyDeleteThe guy has over half a million YouTube subscribers. Some will care.
DeleteYes, you are correct. Those gastropods that are allergic to sunlight and have basement B.O. that can kill at 20 paces will care. Those with a life - not so much.
DeleteI love Francis!
Deletethey would only care and only subscribe to laugh at him lol. dude needs to get outta the basement and into a gym
Delete"morbidly obese sweaty bacon and twinkie addicted basement sloth"
DeletePMSL - Superb :D
most of you sitting in front of your pc right now are no better than this guy...except he has more subscribers than mafia wars has players...who's pathetic now?
DeleteSounds to me like some of the angry MW fanboys are upset because their beloved game is circling the toilet. So instead of having a discussion they make fun of his weight. As the above post said the guy has more subscribers than MW has players so you might want to get out of your mom's basement and find another game to play soon.

DeleteYou are correct. I do not even pretend to be 1/2 of this fellow.

DeleteI would wager the "morbidly obese sweaty bacon and twinkie addicted basement sloth" leaves this world before Mafia Wars.
Who cares what this 500 lb. bag of fertilizer thinks? It would be hard for Mattrick to be any worse than Mark 'Douche Agua Guzzler' Pincus. At least this guy has a background in gaming.
ReplyDeleteThe 520 that were let go were primarily unprofitable, maggot-infested code monkeys who couldn't turn a profit in a company that was once awash in cash. Being a slacker and a loser is not a resume enhancement.
The code monkeys are usually not the guys responsible for the success or fail of a company. You should read the AMA of a guy layed off, http://www.reddit.com/r/IAmA/comments/1fpbv1/i_was_one_of_the_520_people_laid_off_by_zynga/, that is pretty interesting. He describes how the management never listened to the ideas and warnings of the coders. But that is probably something you'll notice in any big company...
DeleteBy the way - 200% of 1 million is 2 million - not 200 million. Ex-Zynga code monkey?
ReplyDeleteA fart in an elevator lmao! The rest of Zynga workforce cleaning after that will die from the exposure!
ReplyDeleteI was just looking at the App data for Mafia Wars and find it quite sad that so many players have already and will be litterally 'Leaving a legacy behind' when this game dies. So many have sacrificed irreplaceable family time and money to support this game, and for all that loyalty, Zynga couldn't care less. They are moving onto the next big thing, that being mobile and real money gambling games. We are already left behind as unacknowledged customers of no value to them anymore, even the players who spend get no meaningful response from the beast.
ReplyDeleteSo now that this game is worthless to Zynga can somebody please buy it from them, dismantle it, remove all the layers of money making bad deals and tedious begging mini games and limited properties we hate and return it back to the simple game everybody loved? They say everything has it's price, how much is Mafia Wars worth as a going concern? I'd be more likely to spend again if the game changed ownership to a company who does see the value in it's customers and player base. We want to feel value for our time in the sense of fun and social enjoyment and we want added value for our money. The fun has been taken out of the game to a large extent by the relentless boring copy and paste content. To spend my money on Mafia Wars now would feel like I walk out of work, find the nearest storm drain and tip my hard earned cash into it.
If Zynga ended Mafia Wars, is there anything to stop someone else taking the basics of the game and starting it over again? Is it hugely expensive to run a game like this? Wouldn't it be awesome if someone could do it and get it right!
Yes!! We need a take over bid on Mafia Wars!!!!
DeleteLoot lady you should have just posted the audio from gaming Hippo Erectus.
ReplyDeleteHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAAAH!!!!!!!!
DeleteIt is hugely expensive to run this game. The months of pouring through code, to find, test, and eliminate bad/broken code before you even begin to introduce good code. The overhead of servers, and bandwidth required to run it world-wide... the list goes on. Maybe Steam should/could look into it???? (And remember that fb wants it gone too.)
ReplyDeletecould you explain why fb wants rid of mw or is it just they want rid of zynga? Steam sounds like an idea! and on that note to our treasured Loot Lady - please can you look into if any other gaming platform would be interested in buying mafia wars? we want to keep our game but ditch zynga, they did not come up with this concept they robbed it from mob wars but the guy who runs that could not afford to fight them in court over it. how does he afford to run a similar world wide game? if its the 'whales' who zynga listen to then maybe they can put pressure on zynga to sell mw, we need a hostile take over!
DeleteHopefully, Electronic Arts that makes Madden Social, Bejeweled Blitz, Sims, Need For Speed, etc. or a company that's linked to CBS can buy Zynga games including Mafia Wars the way things have been going similar to Big Brother on that channel during every summer. Power of Veto like for Mafia Wars version for those watching BB 1-15 should be available on Limited Time & Richie Stash begs on top of new ops. It will help making MW a great game for fun other than as work or else call it Big Brother Mafia Wars (BBMW).
ReplyDeleteOH MY SWEET GENTLE JESUS.....I thought the man was about to have a heart attack right there! I think I reached for my phone to call 9-1-1....but then the video ended and he appeared to still be breathing.
ReplyDeleteFat Arse should get out of the basement and get some exercise. Out of breath from speaking!! What a putz.
ReplyDeleteTo be perfectly honest if they are going to shut down mafia war's or go mobile 100%.I wish they would just tell us and be done with all the BS and rumors.
ReplyDeletelol
ReplyDeleteHey IDIOTS it's a character when he is mad and seems out of breath easy. He does a lot of regular videos so shut the F up. And he does not live in a basement.
ReplyDeleteI had never seen his videos before and thought it was very entertaining. I was surprised to see all the bad comments about him here. We all can't look like super models! I don't think people realize what a feat of getting 500,000 followers really is. I've been doing this for 3 years now and have about 30-40,000.
DeleteUpon further review I would agree he does not live in a basement, mainly because the doors to basements are entirely to small for his lard arse to fit through.
ReplyDeleteFattitude, just sayin'.
