In order to make room for 20 new and unnecessary property items, Zynga removed 20 old items [1]. This update won’t affect many but there are still players who haven’t completed all of their Missions. Zynga likes to update one thing at a time without considering how it will affect other parts of the game. Extreme Missions were introduced to the game in December of 2011 [1]. Although it’s been about a year and a half, there are still players who are working on them. Extreme Mission #13 requires one to build 15 Hack Blades from their Weapons Depot [1]. Hack Blades can no longer be made in the Weapons Depot so now there are players who are stuck. There isn’t a good way to contact support anymore so what can they do? Hopefully Zynga will realize their mistake and auto-finish these tasks like they do for the ones in Italy [1]. Thanks to Daniel Green for pointing this out.
Jen... I know you have watched this company make the worse business decisions ever seen, almost on a daily basis, in the last year. How can you even bring yourself to blog about this game anymore? Zynga has turned our beloved Mafia Wars into the biggest piece of crap on the internet. Have you ever seen anything like this happen before? Are they insane?
ReplyDeleteI contacted Support about it. They gave me 40rp for my trouble and said they couldn't fix the problem. The team is aware and has yet to tell their support people how they want it handled.

Deleteit's not available to all anymore. You need to go here and look for the help icon in the far right column. If you don't see it then you will need to post on the page. They are aware of this issue so it will probably be fixed in the near future.

I did construct the Hack Blade still for the 6 defense points since I didn't get any of the other beg-until-death properties upgraded to emerald for the same number of def. points. Dang.
ReplyDeleteThere is one last refuge for contacting customer support-- they have a twitter account @ZyngaSupport But I have not had any luck with customer support since I tried to get compensation for the rollback. Remember the rollback, when we lost a day of game progress?
