For over 3 days players will be able to enjoy the Arena without the fear of losing Respect. This couldn’t have come at a better time because of the Arena Mastery Event. Players who are working towards their Highly Respected achievements can now master the event without losing everything they worked for. Even though I got my achievements, I don’t like losing Respect. It’s fun to build it little by little and that’s what players can do when these opportunities are available. The countdown timer below will expire when this offering ends.
Well, that makes the event harder for a lot of people. if you above the border of 1200 points it's getting much harder for a lot of average players to earn crests. so i think this is just positive for strong players during this event.
ReplyDeleteI still do not 'get' the point of the arena. I get lots more ices per stamina using assassinator than I ever have in arena.
ReplyDeleteSpeed and quick ices. I'm gaining 200-300 levels a day now. Before the Arena is was about 30 or so per day.
DeleteWHAT??!!?!?!!! I thought you were adamant that leveling up was bad, bad, bad. You even wrote a whole post going on and on about it. Have you now realized how wrong you were? I must have missed that post.
DeleteAs far as strength it's not good but if you want a lot of skill points and reward points its great. The Arena changed all that. I've build enough stamina to excel in the 500 Arenas. I also spend to build my A/D and I'm stronger than average so the more free skill points I can add to stamina the better. Going for 50K stam then I'll stop leveling.
DeleteYes - the last time I went from beeing a fighter that got some 1st places to one that was beaten the craps out of.. this makes it a lot harder for average/below average players to earn crests and doing that event. You can only hope to every now and then get into arenas that by accident has players your strength.

ReplyDeleteThey need FAR more categories for sure - "Over 1200" is crazy for anyone who only just makes 1300 Respect - Up against 2400 respect players - 12,000 Stam Spend just to come last & no crest either? Maybe 1200 to 1600 then 1600 to 2000 then 2000 to 2400 then "Over 2400" - Maybe there are simply not enough players left to implement this? ~ Clive
ReplyDeleteonce you go over 1410 the idiots at zynga forces you to fight no limit. you cant get under that 1410 limit buy just letting the sharks feed. your respect will be zero. I think it is stupid for people 1411 or better being forced to fight people at the 2800 level. if zynga ever became smart they would limit the rooms at 200 spots . if you are at 1400 and you start the table only players 1200-1600 could enter. 200 weaker or 200 higher. this would give rooms balance. what fun is it if you are 1411 and are forced to play 5 monsters between 2600-2900. In this case all you do is watch the 10 second counter count down over and over.
ReplyDeleteYou can close the arena window and do something more interesting. It's a waste of time if you are killed in 1 or 2 seconds by some script.
ReplyDeleteI really dislike this change. Not being able to lose respect makes the respect score meaningless. The arenas are now no longer balanced in any way, and fighting in the arena has become massively unprofitable. (it used to be a great way to burn stamina and level up - now it's completely useless)
