A few posts down, I was excited that Zynga released the Smuggler’s Haven Secret District and weren’t charging reward points (1). I had a feeling that something wasn’t right. If you attempt to access Smuggler’s Haven, you will be slapped with a 35 reward point purchase button. Zynga obviously screwed up and they should just let us enjoy the feature for free. Maybe people would stop quitting if they did things like this once and a while.
Because of all the screw ups last time they charged for a Secret District (too many to link!), I unlocked it to see what would happen. I was congratulated. Considering the fact that I was doing jobs for free about 5 minutes ago, I wasn’t amused.
Nothing else seems to have changed. I was reset to the bronze level and can start farming for the bonus skill points. Providing there are no bugs, I should be able to get 36 skill points for completing each job on each level and an additional 15 skill points for acquiring loot items. As outlined in my last post, the first two loot items are giftable so you won’t have to stress about getting them. If you have the resources to easily master this district is 12 days, spending 35 reward points to gain 51 skill points is a great deal. Each skill point will cost 0.7 reward points which is better than the other options we have available (1).

If you've already mastered it previously it doesn't appear to give you the +5 attack/defense...however I did get the +5 skill points pop up and saw that...so 41 skill points for me instead of 51...
ReplyDeletejust a note fyi I purchased the special district when it first came out for the 35 rp's and now that its backI can't get in unless I pay again? while my mini (helper account) can get in for free but of course it has no money or rp's. thank you so much for your continued information Roy Marcum

George: Why is that? I had already started it when it was first introduced in the game, then it was gone. Now this morning it's back and I worked on most of the Gold Level till I took a break, I come back it's gone and you tell me NOW I have to pay to finish it?!? WHAT SENSE DOES THAT EVEN MAKE???

regarding the +5 attack/defense/skill points when you already have over 50 of each type: They do drop as you play the district. It has something to do with the loot dropping... maybe at least one of each type has to drop before the points drop? All I know is I got each +5 with a loot drop. Two in the bronze level, and the last one early in the silver level.

To the person complaining about being allowed to play for free: are you serious? Consider yourself lucky; you got free play and skill points.
ReplyDeleteNERF 4 me again with all the skill points are still checked from when I did this before therefore I cannot "Collect 10 of each item to earn 5 attack points" & "Collect 25 of each item to earn 5 defense points" & "Collect 50 of each item to earn 5 skill points". The skill points are the reason I paid to replay this district. In the past when I have paid RP to replay the secret districts I was able to regain those 15 skill points. Why not here? I have been Zyngaedddd again.
ReplyDeleteWhen I first saw it, I thought I had already done that district and then saw that everything was at 100% and ruby level lit up. I don't wanna do it again even for skill or RP's. I emailed Zynga and the job is gone now?????????????
