A little trick that I post in many Mission walkthroughs helps us complete tasks that require you to win wars at a faster rate. If you are the last player to help a member of your mafia in a war and you are successful in eliminating the last target, you get credit for a war win in your active Mission. This is what many players refer to as a “Headshot” because the player you are attacking is right over the head of the head of the background target.
In the example above, I took out the target and the war was over. The message states that “You won the war”.I’ve had many players report that the scenario above is no longer counting for Mission tasks. I had an active Mission task requiring me to win 12 wars so I was able to test this out. I took a screen shot before I attacked the Head Shot. At the time, I had 9 out of 12 war wins.
I refreshed the page to eliminate the chance of a display error. When I went back to my Declare Wars Page, I got the loot reward for this war so I know it registered.
What I didn’t get was credit for my Mission task! The only way to get credit is to declare your own war and win. We can do this once every 8 hours. If your family has reached Level 10 of Family Progression than you can declare a war every 6 hours. Other than using reward points, it doesn’t appear there are any more short cuts. I’m not 100% sure if this change includes all Missions or just the Extreme Missions. Please comment with your observations.

I got hit with the 'nerf' yesterday and luckily got a chat agent rather quickly. He completed that part of the mission for me
ReplyDeleteI found the same thing happened to me on the 'Sinless' part of the Dasvidaniya mission. I had managed to get in 4 headshots, but not a single one counted. I had to win my own 2 wars.
ReplyDeleteall mision :( in the dasvidania mission was one that required to win 2 wars and it did not count the last shot ..I wrote to zynga about it and they completed the mission for me :)
ReplyDeletethat was a thing to help in war even if we dont need the loot, and since we can only win loot on 5 i guess their will be less helpers. zynga should give us the option to win the loot or not to win the loot
ReplyDeleteApplies even to limited missions, i was on the win 2 wars part of the mission and managed to get the last shot in and thought i got it but found i still stayed at 1 of 2 wars won. Only when i declared war this morning and won that i completed that part.
ReplyDeleteI had the same issue with sinles on the latest limited time mission, I have won 3 wars for friends and none regustered
ReplyDeleteHad the same problem in the extreme mission. Wrote to SD and it appears that's the way it is gonna be from now on
ReplyDeleteI guess you can get your minis to declare war on you and beat them. That allows you to win 2 wars in 8 hours.
ReplyDeleteHad this - has anyone tried to declare war on yourself from another account and then win that war?
ReplyDeleteWorked fine for me on Limited mission & Extreme mission (3 accounts) so don't think it's a nerf just a bug.
ReplyDeleteWorked find for me. I had to win 8 wars and did so in a day and a half. Declared 2 of my own and the rest were all head shots.
