Update On Lost Families

Yesterday I outlined how the {ASS} Family vanished into thin air (1). We have spent the entire day dealing with Customer Support and have made some progress. Our family now shows up on the Skirmish and Batttle Leaderboards (thanks to Zayyad for the image). About 4 or 5 members are back in the family but the rest of us are still waiting.
Don Perogi, Community Manager, made the following announcement on the forums (1).  It turns out that this has happened to more families than just {ASS}. Contrary to popular believe, the {ASS} Family was not targeted by Zynga so all you haters can stop smiling and chill out. I hope we are compensated for our lost Family Progression, Family Boss Fights and Battles. Not to mention all the fights we should have won but lost due to our missing Family Property Bonus. We are a very active family and what we have lost so far can not be compensated with a few Reward Points for our "inconvenience".

Missing Families
Issue: Some players report that their family tag is missing and that all other traces of their family are gone as well.
Status: Investigating. If you are experiencing this issue, please add your details to this Bug Report.
Workaround: None yet. If you know of a workaround for this issue, please Submit A Workaround.

    If you know of a workaround... Yes, I do. Shit can the whole MW team, sell MW to a Zynga competitor and Spock On.

    As much as I hate to say it, I'm glad {ASS} is involved. Nothing against you folks, but if this had happened to just smaller, less visible families it wouldn't be getting nearly the attention that it is.

    Hey, maybe Z's should rotate this around to all the top families periodically to "level the playing field" with the smaller ones?

    I just love how {ASS} gets special treatment. Lost your family? Tough luck, sorry! Nothing we can do. Oh wait, you're {ASS}? Uh, we're working on it.

    Disgusting. I sure hope there's no compensation, that would be even more disgusting.

      You are an ignorant moron. The reason {ASS} gets what you call "special treatment" is simply the fact that Jen spends a great deal of RP and time to write this Blog for a bunch of lazy unappreciative idgits like you. So it isn;t "special treatment". She gets the necessary attention from Zynga because she is such a public figure. We have her and Team Spock to thank for so many of the game issues that EVERYONE experiences from time to time getting fixed. Personally I wish Jen would ban the IP's of the morons who post such stupidity on her blog. You ought to be thankful she doesn't take revenge on you and your ilk when she so easily could.

    i'm very glad you {ASS}'s get sorted!
    i don't understand why people don't see how important your family is for this blog and even the community.

    with your superfast progresses everywhere you usually identify glitches/bugs before it affects others, so zynga has some time to sort their stuff out.

    i hope the rest comes together smoothly again! :)

    How else would they compensate you besides giving you reward points? Should they practice self-immolation and send you the pictures? I like how you put inconvenience in quotations, trying to make some implication that this is far greater than a mere minor inconvenience. What else could it possibly be classified as? It's a pain and something that has happened to my family as well, but not exactly traumatic.

    So let me get this straight. When other families disappear, Zynga says, "too bad, start another one from scratch." When {ASS} disappears they say, "we're working on it." That's pretty blatant favoritism. I guess it pays to run a popular blog.

    I am glad it is being worked on and don.t care WHO brings these things to Zanga. Just glad someone is looking out for GAME interests Zanga sure as heck has never helped me. I just let the crap slide. I can spend $20 USD to get what Zanga would never pay me in RPs and no bs. Thanks {ASS}s. :]

    We had this happen to us about a week and a half ago. I immediately brought it to ZYNGA's attention and asked for assistance. I have received a total of two emails from them since the occurrence with NO HELP, period. I wrote them again today and told them I want my family back. We were making serious headway and no we have ground to a halt.

    all the bots are most of the problem i like to see the whites of ppls eyes when i fight not use a stupid fight bot that makes you have a big red x on ur back for hrs so u win a few fights and get wasted more times than bob marley.. mafia wars will be back to normal when all the cheaters are removed and its comon that zynga are removeing whole famileys if they see autobot posts
