Initially the New's Years Resolutions Event pitted The Shadow King against Ms. PAC. For more information about this ongoing battle and the Party Shadow King and Ms. PAC Party loot items, go here.
Zynga failed to provide a convenient way to see how many votes each item had but Team Spockholm was about to solve the problem. A few days ago, I was given the code of an early alpha script that didn't even have a name (1). It worked and I was able to get an up to date accurate vote count. At the time, The Shadow King was in the lead. I posted updates every hour on the Mafia Wars Loot Lady Fan Page until a clear winner emerged.
Many asked where they could find the script. There was still work to be done by Team Spockholm and it was made available last night. The script was named Resolutions Vote Analyzer and is still in the beta phase. Currently it is only available to players with the Golden Toolbar. To use it, just type in the first few letters of Resolutions Vote Analyzer and it will appear. Click on it once and the current results will appear. If you want to learn more about how you can access the Golden Toolbar, go here.
If you want to add it to the drop down menu, go to the config menu and scroll until you find Resolutions Vote Analyzer.
Click on it once and it will turn green and appear on the drop down menu.
If you click the sort option from the config menu, you can get it in the first position. The event will only be around for about 3 more days so most will find the search method is the fastest.
At the time of this post, Ms. PAC has 328,472 votes and The Shadow King is trailing with 189,146 votes.
With a lead of 139,326 votes and 3 days remaining, it's obvious who the winner will be. If you want your votes to turn into loot items with stats of 122/122, the strategic thing to do is vote for Ms. PAC. For those who don't have the Golden Toolbar, I will continue to post updates on the fan page. Other players are free to do so as well but we ask that you wait a reasonable amount of time so our wall doesn't get flooded with these posts.

I am sad to see that Spockholm is doing things now the Zynga way.
ReplyDeleteDont get me wrong. Spockholm did and does a very good job. The game wouldnt be the same without scripting. But we all feel bad with Zynga started the new model of pay to play. And now Spockholm is rolling out pay 2 script.
I agree they deserve something for their work. And i would like to give them something, but i cant, the same way its hard to catch up with cash players. And that just makes me sad....
@Arne, that is not the case. Scripts take time to make it onto the main servers and need to be beta tested before that happens. In this case there wasn't enough time to make that happen so those who donate and were given the Golden Toolbar as a thank you will have access to it because it's on the beta servers. If there is another event like this it will be on the public list. Team Spockholm pays to maintain their servers and there isn't room to store the data of all players.
ReplyDeleteI love the fact that Team Spockholm provides free services to the community! Spock on!
ReplyDeleteWell, i dont use the toolbar, and i dont want to use it. But okay, if thats your answert, i have to accept. This way will make it easier for people to stop playing.
ReplyDeleteI don't use the toolbar and don't plan to start, but I sure don't begrudge the Spockholm people from using their toolbar to allow people access to beta script. I'm thankful that there are people who share the information here. But in any case, I can't see how it would affect whether or how much I play.
ReplyDeleteTo those who are posting the code meant to be on the Golden Toolbar then posting it on your own site, please do not use my blog comments to promote yourselves. Team Spockholm chose to keep it on the Golden Toolbar and nobody has the right to publish it. I have removed the site that is doing this from my list of supported sites. It's actions like this that may cause script writers who work hard enough as it is to take another time consuming step and encrypt their code.
