I've seen a few players reporting that they can't request parts for the Assassin's Academy. Today I encountered the same problem. Clicking on the Any Part, Individual Part, and Bragging buttons do nothing. With the large number of part requirements and time constraints this is very frustrating.
I cleared my cache, tried multiple browsers and computers, blocked and unblocked the Mafia Wars Application and tried from mafiawars.com. Nothing worked and all of my property buttons were defective. I know this problem came up in the last property but I couldn't remember the workaround. I asked on the
Mafia Wars Loot Lady Fan Page and got my answer. To get your property buttons working again, you need to remove the permission that you gave Mafia Wars to post as you. To do this go to your Account Drop Bar and select "Account Settings".
Choose "Apps" located in the upper left corner.
Find Mafia Wars and click on "Edit".
Find "Post to Facebook as me" and click on "Remove".
Go back to any of your request buttons and they all should work.
You will now see the post after it is generated and will need to click on the "Share" button.
The only problem with this workaround is Zynga will hound you with popups to allow this permission and it will interrupt your game

Often you will find that you get booted out of your game while performing actions and are directed to this screen. Many complain it happens in the middle of fighting and prevents them from getting an ice. It's very annoying.
I'm back to upgrading my property and will just have to deal with all the permission popups. If we go through all the hassle to remove the permission, Zynga should accept no for an answer. If they want us to grant them the ability to auto-post, they need to fix the bugs associated with it.

ReplyDeleteor at least limit the pop-ups to once when u first log on or something, i hate being in the middle of a family battle and poof, there's the popup.....
ReplyDeleteAwesome. I had no idea how to resolve this problem and all Zynga CS would do is shrug their collective shoulders and ignore me. Your blog is worth its weight in gold; I for one sure do appreciate all your and your team's hard work!

ReplyDeleteMy problem is the buttons do not work in a unfraimed window. Fraimed works fine but can't use bm to ask for individual parts.

Just catching up on the podcasts, thusly checked this post again lol :D It's no problem at all and whatever helps people's the thing. I've gotten so much help/info here through the months so it's nice to for once be able to give something back :) Really appreciate the shoutout though :D was like a "whaaat? am I hearing this correctly?xD". And I enjoy those super much. :) It's nice to hear real people talk about this addictive game and all that happens and all the humor and stuff. It give so much laugh and eh.. a nice atmosphere sort of .. xD -blabbering on-
