I'm really getting irritated with the constant game breaks because of Mafia Wars Requests for Permission. The items listed on the image below are not required and I personally removed them. I don't appreciate my game being cut off and directed to this page every few hours. If I wanted to give Mafia Wars permission for unnecessary access to my data, I would have never removed it in the first place. For more details on these requests, go

Simply clicking on "Don't Allow" doesn't end it. You are then directed to a fancier page telling you why Mafia Wars is asking for your information. If you click the "Play Now" button, nothing happens so the only way to get out of this mess is to close the window and start your game over.
As soon as you do something in game, they will spring various popups on you. I'm sorry by I don't want to be featured on your app ticker and I don't auto-posting. I removed them for a reason. Please stop giving me these annoying popups.
Of the 5 permissions that aren't required to play Mafia Wars, I only allow one of them. The permission access posts in my news feeds is required for scanning scripts.
I usually grant those permissions right from the scripts like the Get-a-Nator and Stream Scanner. The Spockholm scripts that require access to your news feeds all have a "Ask Permission " button on them. This is always the first thing I check whenever they don't seem to work.
Once you click on the "Ask Permission" button, you can allow it right away and go on playing until Zynga bugs you again.

The "Request Property Parts in a Single Click" is actually quite awesome. You still have to make that initial click, but there's no annoying confirmation. What's not to like?
ReplyDeleteFor the "Request for Permission" page, I clicked Allow, and then went in and removed the permissions I didn't want it to have. It hasn't been back since.
Except when I gave permission to request property parts in one click, it was only visible to ME and no one else. So it's great if I only have to click once, but not so great if no one can actually see those requests and click them.
ReplyDeleteMWLL I have a question and I don't know quite where to ask, so I want to ask here. Whenever I open a FB chat window my MW goes white. If I close the chat MW immediately comes back. Have asked around and the phenomenon seems to be spreading. I am wondering if this is MW attempting to force us into their Family chat. Has anyone found a solution?

If a woman says "no" well. But if we players say "no" what in the heck gives Zynga the right to then re-ask us 2,3,4 times and more, day after day, every day non stop. I have to call this harassment period. No app should be allowed to ask for user permissions at any other time than when you start the app as all such control should remain 100% at the discretion of the account holder. I said "no" when I started my game, I still mean no and say to Zynga that I do thank you for not asking again.
