Zynga has a new game called Hidden Chronicles and are offering a cross game promotion with Mafia Wars. The next time you go to Mafia Wars, you will get the following popup. You need to slow down and whatever you do, DON'T close it. The popup actually contains a mini game and you can get a loot item. You need to find three items on the popup. If you close out the popup or don't receive it, go
here for a workaround.
When you locate the item, in this example the Laser Squirrel, click on it and a check mark will appear.
Now click on the Speed Boat and the Tommy Gun.
Once you find all three items, you will get a Gemelos which has stats of 99/133.
Now it is safe to proceed. Click the "Play Now" located at the bottom of the popup.
If you blocked the game, just click on "Unblock Hidden Chronicles" to proceed.
Allow the permissions requested by the Hidden Chronicles Application.
Wait for the game to load and start playing by clicking on the "Begin" button.
Click on the arrow to enter the Manor. The game is self explanatory, just do what it tells you and look for stuff. You need to reach Level 5 to get another loot item.
Once you get to Level 5, you can leave the game. You won't get the reward until the next time you go to Mafia Wars.will get the following popup and be rewarded with a Voracious Goldfish.
Once you return to Mafia Wars, you will get the following popup and be rewarded with a Voracious Goldfish.
If the item doesn't appear in your inventory right away, wait at least 24 hours before contacting
Customer Support. Many are getting it right away but the fine print on the original popup states that "Reward Item may take up to 24 hours to appear in inventory".

funny thing my mini got the mini game with bonus item , but not me .i only had two options - go to hidden chronicles or play mafia wars .

ReplyDeleteClosed mine as soon as I saw it. I won't get upset over a missed piece of useless loot but that pop-up is another fine example of Zynga BS. More than likely the majority of MW players will close the popup as soon as invades their space. Nothing like clicking an upgrade post and getting a yet another Zynga app popup.
ReplyDeleteZynga is so stupid it hurts. They can dedicate the manhours to do a minigame in a popup, but they can't let players know it's comming. They should hire Jen and have her write the exact posts she writes now but about upcoming events.

I did the minigame, and got the popup saying I won the gun, but I still have yet to actually receive it.
ReplyDeleteI never got the pop up for the mini game, at least I never saw it. I tried the workaround that you mention above but it didn't work for me. I'm already up to level 7 in HC and for some reason I just checked my MW inventory and I actually have two Voracious Goldfish, is this normal?
