There were a few changes made to the Family Property feature. The first is a new Home Page banner was created.

The second change is the bonus we receive to our attack and soon our defense equipment scores is now displayed separately on the fight page. This is a positive change as it was very confusing to players to see their scores fluctuate
(1).
This is something many have been asking for. To this day, there are questions on the
Mafia Wars Loot Lady Fan Page about increases and decreases to equipment scores. I hope this will put an end to it. Martin predicted on day one that there would be a lot of questions because the log on the Assassin-a-Nator tracks real time equipment score changes. He was right. Zynga had to deal with many inquires as well and even made a post about it on their blog
(1).
The next change which is really cool is we can now ask for Family Property consumables in the news feeds. I never did understand why Zynga would miss a spamming opportunity like this and I'm so glad to see they saw the light. When you go to your Family Property Upgrade Page, you will see a "Ask for Parts" button.
Click on it and a post will be generated. If you gave Mafia Wars permission to post for you, it will become shadowed, say "Request Sent" and go right to your wall.
When you mafia members (not just family members) click on it, you will get a Artillery Shell and so will they.
You can get a maximum of 20 Artillery Shells per day. It doesn't matter if you got them from directly from your mafia or from helping. 20 is the most you can receive.
If you don't have a responsive mafia, use the Stream Scanner by Team Spockholm to easily collect your 20 shells per day. These requests will show up under the "ClanProperty" tab. Remember it's Zynga who names these tabs, not Team Spockholm. The back code of the game refuses to use the term Family and has stuck with Clan. Click on all the "Get a Part" links or make it easy on yourself and click the "Click Links" button on top. Just make sure you open the ClanProperty tab first.
When you reach your limit of 20 Artillery Shells, you can still help you mafia members. The posts will say "Help Out" instead of "Get a Part".
You will be told "Sorry, you've already collected the maximum number of gifts from these requests today.".
This is an excellent addition and should cut the time it will take to get to Level 10 in half. When the Family Property was first introduced, I posted the following chart on the {ASS} Family wall and predicted at the very latest it would take until Jan 30th to get there assuming all members accepted their 20 Artillery Shells per day from gifting. At the time I didn't know that nobody would utilize the Family Property Robbing feature. Now we should get there twice as fast. For more details on how to upgrade your Family Property, go

How are artillery shell posts coded in Home Feed Center?
ReplyDeleteMy total family attack was reduced by the bonus, which is 6000 for my family. That means my family attack can be reduced by as much as 6000 pts, but cannot go any higher than it is when the bonus is full. Zynga has taken control of 6000 of my points. Why?
