Assassin's Academy

The Assassin Academy is now available. The bad news is there are 15 levels, the good news is for now the loot is more useful. If you follow this blog, you already knew this was coming.  Server images were discovered in December and the loot items were added to the inventory 4 days ago (1).
The Assassin's Academy is where the Raven has been hiding out. It's nice to know where he's been hiding but unfortunate that you still won't be able to make progress on your Requiescat in Pace Decimus achievement. Zynga seriously needs to remove this achievement if they have no plans of bringing back The Assassin Boss Fight feature.
This property works like all the others with one exception. You start with a platform and beg your way to the next level. We will have 14 days to get to Level 15. We can now get the first upgrade part, the Welding Torch, through the free gift system.
The building parts that we have to beg for are the Welding Torch, Galvanized Steel and Reciprocating Saws.
The following chart outlines how many parts you will need for each level. I will update this as I progress or players post the information. Numbers in red are predictions. There is a change in that the Welding Torch is available as a free gift so the strategy will shift a little and be easier.

The Gift Blaster is also auto-updates so you can start using it now.
There is carry over. I'm not sure if there is a limit of how many we can accept per day and will update once I learn that information. You can see below I accepted 5 gifts and only needed 3 to upgrade. After the upgrade the two extra Welding Torches carried over and applied to the next level.
As you make your ways through the levels, the loot items you can craft unlock. With more levels comes more loot. There are 4 individual loot items with various levels. The special abilities are +3 stamina for the Death From Air, +4 attack for the Corner Shot and +5 energy for the Assassin. Of interest is the Assassin has 5 levels of mastery and the Emerald Level Assassin has stats of 82/119. This is awesome for now but that score will become obsolete. Fighters would rather craft items that add to attack/defense/stamina so some may not like the +5 energy. Thank goodness for Skill Point Reallocation.

    "you will be stuck with extra energy points that you probably didn't want" WTF are you talking about? You're always complaining how various things take too much energy and now you don't want energy points?

    The welding torch is available on the free gifts page and I think that is a welcome change.You only have to beg for 2 of the parts now

    still think the gun is best item never craft for gear even tho 119D henchmen is very tempting. how ever the gun is +2 gear points for most and the +4 attack skill is best attack skill craft from any of the new props weve seen +4(stam energy and def) but only +3 Attack so far. that of course is only referring to the new ny props so depot not included which of course has +5 and + 6. also nice to have another 15 lvl prop for family pogress allows u to mix up props little more i guess for 60 family points

    Personally I think it is just something else to keep us busy and take more time away from the family.... But then isn't that what we use Mafia Wars for in the first place?

    I've stopped trying to upgrade these properties. This will be the third property that I will not upgrade at all. Why should I make the effort for items that don't help nor give any better stamina, defense, offense nor health that those existing. Totally worthless!

    Not worth building 5 energy and i know then there would be new fight loot..that will take over..so i am not building it...and i can live with that 4k upgrade on mafia defense..i am using 300 plus that fellow surviovor or zombie fellow whatever is on defense...but anyhow this was crap what we got...i will try normal way to upgrade as much as i can..

    Hmm... this is one I'm keen on completing (might even invest a few RP to get maxed). With it, I can stop building Solar Flares for energy and switch over to Rebels for Stamina, and replace utility belts with alternating Railguns/Plasmas to boost A/D.

    hmm.. +4 attack or +5 energy ..well with 2600 energy i have completed every destination every mission with bonus while spending minimal RP which i get from the game,, i wouldnt care what they made the loot value for the lvl 15 build,, im not forgoing an attack build for energy,, and if anyone needed the energy build they shouldnt have had a problem making at least lvl 11 or 12 .. i made lvl 12 and will prolly never build it.. building for loot is dumb, if you need the energy fine, so what if you didnt make lvl 15, do you realy think that loot is going to help you in any way,, not as much as that +4 attack will
