98 New Items: Possible Fight Club Loot

Share:

A total of 98 unreleased items were added to the inventory. They are all labeled as Marketplace. Zynga has been know to change the locations of items upon release so it's hard to guess what they are all for. There are 54 unique items all with similar stats. The highest attack or defense scores range from 139-171.
Four of the items don't have images. I was able to find only one of them in the servers.
Many suspect that some of these items could be new Fight Club loot. Fight Club loot is labeled for the Marketplace but the stats of the items above seem a little high.
We were told back in October during the last episode of the Mafia Wars Insider that Fight Club loot would not be updated for a while and the system would have to change (1). It's been more than a while so maybe it's possible. Jeff said that it was determined that there are too many Victory Coins in the economy. Below is the transcript answer to when will the Fight Club (and Loyalty Program) be updated (1).

Answer: Neither of the loyalty point or fight club systems should be updated as they currently exist, as both systems are cash flooded. We would consider updating the loot as long as it was accompanied by an update to the system. One option we're considering instead of a system update is making new loot available via those features for a limited time just prior to their removal. We will post an announcement on the blog when we decide what we're going to do with these systems.

I won't be surprised if any new Fight Loot we get comes with a steep Victory Coin price tag. The stats of the items listed above would justify that theory as they are far superior to what we currently can get.
There were also 11 sets of identical loot items that increase in stats. No stars have been added to indicate a level but these could be new Group Sale items that never make it (1). Since August there have been 8 items and none have made it to the Ruby Level.
Three of these sets don't have images but they are in the servers and shown below.

  1. With some of the names I hope it is a heavy metal event coming. Like Deathallica and Twisted Mister. That would be fun.

  4. Hate to be a damper on the game...like they (zynga) have not been ...LOL... Now the only REAL way to play this game is to spend $$$$$ gotta have the RP's to purchase every item up there to be "in" the game...that's just plain crazy... sad they turned a good game in to this ...a money maker till none will play... but assure yourselves this.. I for one will never play another Zynga game.....

The only problem with this is that these items are upgradeable, silver, gold, diamond, ruby. That is not what you get from fight loot which is just one item with no upgrades.

Looking at the VC situation from the perspective of an economist the answer is simple. Charge more. If these are Fight Club loot then charge more for them on a sliding scale. Lets look at the owls and ignore the attack. They are 132/147/162/177 in def. Give it a few months and we will be looking down our noses at 132 def for animals. It will take longer for the 147 ones to become useless and the 177 ones will probably last longer.

So Zynga should use a sliding scale to charge. If we assume that the average player has a defence of 100 as the lowest for animals then buying the bottom one gives a plus of 30ish and the top one 75ish. So spending all of you VC on the bottom one will give you 30 and the top 75. The difference is how long they will last. Anyone remember Chain Vipers? For these charge them at 1,000, 2,000, 4,000 and 8,000 each. That way those who want the advantage to last longest can buy the 177 items and those who just want a boost now buy the 132 items. Whatever happens it will soak up the VC in short order.

  7. Assuming there is new FC in the list and that each of the 5 types are available in attack and defense then by looking at the types of henchmen we can assume the att/deff will be around 170!!
FC will probable mirror last loot in that the loot only has one good score as apposed to rp loot that has one good and one ok.eg 170/97 FC to 170/125 MP loot.
I could be wrong but i hope im right as a 170 loot offer would put me at 425k+ and with an attack in skills over 20k and 5 loot points = 1 skill point at that skill level some people better be shaking in their boots ;-)
btw 5 million VC to spend ;-)
