Zynga made some changes to the City of Traverse "Pay to Play" Secret District. I outlined the faults with this Secret District here and I'm glad to see some positive changes were made. In addition to the consumable item being added to the Free Gift Page, it will now will cost 35 Reward Points to repeat the district instead of 60. You will find that mastery is reset prior to the purchase and there is now just one 35 Reward Point purchase button which unlocks and resets mastery in one click.
Before: 60 Reward Points
After: 35 Reward Points
The third positive change is that you will get the Ruby Level Floating Casino when you remaster the district. There was something in the back code preventing players from having more than one ruby item and this has been removed.

They also fixed the problem that was preventing players from gaining the skill point from the last job on the ruby level. You will now get 36 skill points if you master the entire district.
When something good happens, usually there is something bad to follow. One change that isn't so great is you will no longer get the bonus skill points for looting 50 items. It looks like this is now a one time shot. I checked my attack/defense and skill point balance before and after purchasing the secret district and the points were not awarded the second and third time even though the check marks were intact.
The bottom line is you will get 36 skill points for the 35 Reward Point purchase. This is only a good deal if you have the resources to master it in 12 days. If you buy energy refills then it is no longer a good deal. If you spent 60 Reward Points to replay the City of Traverse or did not get a Ruby Level Floating Casino, it's probably a good time to contact Customer Support. Players are reporting that Live Chat is back after a holiday break. If a live agent is not available then submit a e-mail request by going here and filling out the required information.

Thanks to Don Louis Cyphre and Mallory Knox for the heads up on the changes.
