Confirmation Added to Holiday Light Boosts

Share:

Many players found they were accidentally purchasing Holiday Lights. The Holiday Light Boost is rather useless but the purchase button is splashed all over the game. We are all aware that screen jumping is a huge problem in Mafia Wars and it was impossible not to click on one of these things.
They are also strategically placed in areas we are used to clicking but for different purposes. You can find them where Burner requests used to be and on the New York job window where you normally make Job Help requests.

Now when you click on a Holiday Light purchase button, a confirmation window appears. I'm sure Customer Support got many inquires from angry players. I don't know why they don't think of these things before implementation. We saw the exact same thing happen with Turkey Protection Boosts (1). The Turkey Protection purchase button was only on the Fight Page.  I find it hard to believe that with Holiday Light buttons on the Job, Rob and Fight Pages that they didn't foresee a problem and add a confirmation window right away. They are desperate to get players to use Reward Points so it makes you wonder.
Now they need to add one to the double health boost on the Hospital or figure out how to stop the fight screen from jumping. Players accidentally buy this boost all the time and Zynga is well aware of this problem. If they can add a confirmation to Turkey Protection and Holiday Light Boosts why can't they do it here?

    Steps to get rich:
    1. Put the [Buy this "Useless Junk" for X Reward Points] button in every place that user normally clicks on (including at the unrelated places if possible)
    2. Make the purchase from that button be immediate
    3. Enjoy the cash rolling in from scamming the players
    4. If too many of them complain, put a confirmation window at your own discretion (not necessary)

  2. Maybe Pincus shorted his shares as the stock wallows in the low 9's...true affirmation that the investor's perception of Zynga is not good.

It's gonna be real interesting to see how many insider shares get sold when the IPO window opens for that, along with the long rumoured exodus of talent.

Someone in management is reviewing all of the business decisions that go into the games, the offers, the never ending failure to put confirmations on all purchases, etc.

As far as I am concerned, the company is morally bankrupt, and all organizations reflect the personality of the person at the top.

Don't give up your day jobs.
