Four days ago, I told you about an upcoming cross game promotion involving the mobile game Mafia Wars Shakedown. Today it's here.
When you click the "Download Free: button, you are dircted to the
iTunes Mafia Wars Shakedown Page. The fine print on the cross promo popup states:
Must log in on Facebook in Mafia Wars Shakedown to be eligible. Item may take up to 24hrs to be awarded.
The application page will say "
To download Zynga’s Mafia Wars Shakedown by Zynga, you need to have iTunes.". It looks like an Apple device must be used in order to get the loot item reward. I will let you know if anyone figures out a work around. Maybe players without Apple devices will probably have to borrow their friends. I have an iPhone so I downloaded it. Now I'm just waiting the 24 hours to see if I get the loot item as promised. The instructions provided aren't very clear so if I don't get this item I will be contacting Customer Support. As soon as the V-10 Shakedown lands in my inventory, I'm removing this app from my phone.

I guess all us deprived non iGadget, non AT&T customers will have to stroll over to live support and whine impressively until we get our playing field leveled. Realllly thought this one through, Zynga! Are you sure you don't share dev techs with facebook?
ReplyDeleteI have an iphone but because it is jailbroken and unlocked I cannot get the app unless I upgrade it meaning I will lose the unlock/jailbreak, its not worth the effort to go through all the process again just for 1 item..

There is not indication as to how long you have to play or what level you have to reach to get this. An agent told me all you have to do is play the game. I hope this is true and he also told me that he thought it might be awarded on black Friday.
