Group Sale: Skysore

Share:

There is a new Group Sale item in the Marketplace. This one is the Skysore and it is sure to be an "Eyesore" when it doesn't make all the upgrades. Remember none of these items have ever made it to the Ruby Level and only 3 have made it to Gold. If you are going to buy this item because you think the stats will end being 147/100, you will be disappointed. Maybe someone will purchase them all to prove me wrong?

  1. heh, some people argue why does Zynga do this if they will never sell enough to even get to gold...well...the fact is making these virtual items doesn't cost Zynga a penny (besides the few minutes which the artist director spent by them), yet they sell thousands of them even should they stay on silver...so why not?

  2. I hope any developer from Zynga will be given as many as RP's required to take it to Ruby :P

It would be better if they get these items for fight loot ;)

  3. they really haven't got the balance right on these group sales - it's a pretty good rule that you should never "waste" RP on items because they become obsolete so quickly - so they should start the prices lower and end them lower, but also set the stat increments to suit (eg this current one the jump to silver is great but dud thereafter, all the prices are too high...so if it were me i'd run it more...

Bronze 10 RP - 110/60 (same stats, lower price)
Silver 15 RP - 125/75 (lower stats, lower price)
Gold 20 RP - 135/85 (lower stats, lower price)
    Ruby 25 RP - 145/95 (@same stats, lower price)

the point (business case) is to encourage mass sales, possibly to a small number of people over spending...so the fact the Ruby prize is better than the usual 25 RP spend is not a problem as you've got mass sales covering the cost...

    rant maybe? sense hopefully!?
