Forums For Fan Pages App

By now, anybody who is an admin on a fan page has seen the following message on top of their page. I don't understand how removing the Discussions from a page will make it better but Facebook seems to think it will.

We're Making Pages Better
We want to make sure the tools you use to manage your page are as effective as possible. Here's an update about how you connect with your audience:
Discussions: The best way to encourage conversation and feedback is through posts and comments on your Wall. To focus on this, we'll be removing the Discussions app on October 31st.

Facebook is pretty much telling you that all of your pages Discussion threads will be removed on October 31st. If you don't want to lose all your past discussions or wish for them to continue, there is something you can do now. Check out the Forum for pages app and you can add a forum to your fan page.

Check out the Forum for pages app and you can add a forum to your fan page today. I added it to the Mafia Wars Loot Lady Fan Page and it was very easy to do. Just go to the application and click on the "Add Forum for pages" button.

A very cool feature is that it will import all of your existing Discussions and add them to your new forum. You will need to act on this before Facebook removes all the Discussions on October 31st.

To access your newly added forums, look under the page profile image and there will be a "Forum" link.
