As if a Zombie Event that keeps changing, 3 new Districts in Chicago and new Fight Loot isn't enough to keep you "engaged", there is also a Marketplace Promotion called Deals of the Dead.
You will be greeted with a Zombified Reward Point discount offer popup. Don't be fooled, it's the same one you see 20 times a day.
I'm not going to go into too much detail as this one is just like all the other Marketplace promotions to include the same bug that rips you off but they refuse to fix it. Read all the details about that
here. You need to buy 15 items that cost 5 Reward Points or more from the Marketplace. You get a tick every time you do. Once you get 15 ticks, you get a loot item.
The loot item you are striving for is the Tools Of The Trade.
When you made 15 qualifying purchases, you get a popup that says "Gruesome" instead of "Awesome". They are so witty.
If you just have to have a Tools of the Trade loot item, most players find the cheapest way to go is to buy a single Crate. Make sure you don't buy the triple Crate because you will only get one tick. It's also important to not buy your stamina and energy refills outside of the Marketplace because they won't count (that's the bug). Crafting Timer Speedups don't count either.
If you're overly optimistic and think that you will see the Raven again, you can load up on Sniper Shots which are 50% off. Zynga could make these things 100% off and I don't think many would take them.
