Update: It looks like Zynga didn't get this one right. All players got an Ancient Hammer even if they never played Adventure World or worse, blocked it. The loot item isn't very useful and now I wish I hadn't wasted my time.

Last week we were given the opportunity to play Adventure World to get a loot item for Mafia Wars. All you had to do was make it to Level 5 by September 30th.
If you looked at the fine print on the popup, it said "Item will be rewarded on 9/30".
The Ancient Hammer was added to the inventory list on September 30th.
However, it was not added to the inventory of players who got to Level 5 in the time frame specified. You can see I made it to Level 5.
When I checked my inventory, there was no Ancient Hammer to be found.
The Ancient Hammer is rewarded on October 1st so hopefully nobody wasted time going to Customer Support. If you earned it, you will get a large popup the next time you go to Mafia Wars.

ReplyDeletei didn't even play it and i still got it. when i clicked to play adventure world all i got was garbled text.
ReplyDeleteI blocked Adventure World from the moment it was released, and somehow I got the hammer when I logged in. Go figure.
ReplyDeleteNever played it and got 2!
ReplyDeleteJust when you login for first time open MW in 2 tabs!

ReplyDeleteI'm with everyone else, I didn't play as I am not playing any other games, and almost look forward to them releasing MW 2 so when they stop updating MW 1 I can stop playing these things all together.
ReplyDeleteIt never ceases to amaze me the lengths people will go through for 1 item of practically worthless loot... :-)
