When the Meme Crates were introduced, I had no idea what a meme was. Thanks to all the comments and Google, I learned what the term meant and all the Meme Crates and items made sense. I also realized that I pronounced the term incorrectly on the last episode of The Informant Podcast. No wonder Pete didn't know what in the heck I was talking about?

Here is the definition of a the word meme according to Wikipedia. It doesn't really explain the Laser Squirrel unless you factor in that many jokes have been made about it and it went viral in the game.

The term Internet meme (pronounced /ˈmiːm/; meem) is used to describe a concept that spreads via the Internet. The term is a reference to the concept of memes, although the latter concept refers to a much broader category of cultural information.

Here are what they were inspired after. Haider gets all the credit for putting this entertaining group of images and videos together. I changed the order from Haiders post because my OCD made me do it.

Haider explains that a Noob Tube is someone who always resorts to using a Grenade Launcher to kill people in combat games. I guess it's the easy and skill free way to go but it really annoys opponents.

After all this, I had to buy a Meme Crate. I know it's not the best way to spend Reward Points but I couldn't resist. I wish I had read Haiders post when these things were on sale! At least I got a rare item and the Trollercycle is cool. Maybe I can use it to run over people who troll my blog with stupid comments.
