The Mafia Wars 3 year anniversary gift for the day is a Crossing Guard. This is a huge step up from the crap we have been getting. It was noted today that the last 2 items were upgraded (1). Players who collected their items before the upgrade are finding they do not have the new items in their inventory. If you are upset by this, you can always go to Customer Support and ask that they take away the original piece of crap and give you the better piece of crap. Who knows, they may throw in a stamina refill or some Reward Points for your inconvenience.
