Facebook News Feed Changes

If Zynga isn't changing or adding something, Facebook is. You will notice there are a few changes mainly dealing with the news feeds. Many don't like it because it's much more difficult to find Mafia Wars related posts.

For those who can't stand the App Ticker, you will be even more annoyed that there is a Real-Time Activity Ticker.  If you have a lot of friends, this thing moves fast. I haven't tried to get rid of it yet but I'm sure an ad blocking extension or add on will work.
Facebook will now determine what stories are "Top Stories" and those are the ones you will see the most in your news feeds.
I really miss being able to filter out everything except Mafia Wars. According to Facebook, Top News and Recent News are now combined and everything is in one place.  I hope there is a way to filter so we can easily get to our Mafia Wars posts but it doesn't appear there is.  Overall people are not happy with these changes and for now all we can do is get used to it.
This is just one more reason to use the Stream Scanner by Team Spockholm.

    Have a look at this it works for firefox and chrome, allows you to filter out apps etc

    Put all of your Mafia Wars friends into a list and filter to that list. Works for me.

    You can get the mafia wars newsfeed by using http://www.facebook.com/?sk=app_10979261223
    You can change the app number at the end to get what game you want

    I created a list for all of my MW friends and set it to only show game posts. Then when I click on the list I can see what I want, in spite of facebook. Would be nice to be able to specify which game posts to show, but at least it's better than the news feed.
