Daily Timers For All

Share:

Zynga has finally decided which timer to use for the Family Progression feature. I was super excited to see that the status of the Get Satisfaction Thread I started a month ago was changed to "Implemented". Thanks to the 1,000 + players who "liked" the thread and the 301 of you who "+1ed" it, all Families now have the daily timer.
Don Perogi further explains in more detail.
If you aren't sure yet and miss your weekly timer, don't worry. You are going to love the daily timer once you get used to it. For you and you're family, it is the more strategic timer.

Now all families are on a level playing field and we should all be happy.

  4. I think that the Weekly timer was better, because not everybody is a daily player, or maybe if somebody has problems with internet or other problems and cant connect in 1 day, that exp will be lost, and in the weekly timer you still had time to complete the missions you couldnt do the day you werent in mafia wars.

  5. The last week, i had a lot of internet problems and i was in the "Exams week" at my school, so i did 700ices the last day (sunday). If i had the daily timer, all that exp would be lost. I think i prefer the week timer

  6. Thanks for fighting for and getting something that WON'T help keep players playing. Lets drive the DAU down further when people realize that your overwhelming command over then will just widen tenfold more. Under these situations we cant recruit new players who will stick around. How many more nails do you have for the coffin?

  7. I agree with most of the posts here. I really, REALLY loved the weekly timer. I don't see how it's going to be possible to get to the third level of some of these parts, such as Property and Ices, in just one day.

Nope.. I know, Jen, you've been complaining a lot, but the weekly timer seemed to just work.

I guess now, I'll just run MWAdd On, and get the Helper Bonuses everyday (all 3, probably) and maybe even the Jobs Bonus. Maybe it WILL, work better than the weekly (just without the Ices and Property 3rd Level Bonuses). Time shall tell...

  8. Gee thanks to a few, many of us get SCREWED with this DAILY TIMER.... with the weekly timer, i could pace myself, and even take a day off if I liked, now thanks to this BS, if I miss a day, I miss out on some XP and family progression as well... thanks... thanks alot.

  9. I agree withthe overwhelming feed back ere that the weekly was better for most people, I am a daily player, and wont have to much trouble hitting the goals, but if I do have a bad day, I will loose out, the weekly one I could make it up the next day. But, it is a free game, and I will play it until they make it so poopy that I cannot stand it.

  10. (Reposting here since I made this Post in your earlier Blog on Timers, last night India time)

Jenn, For the first time I disagree with you, of course in hindsight only ;-) Today ours and many other families have been changed from Weekly to Daily Timers. This is an unmitigated Disaster ! I got Jobs on Gold, 500 Ices in 12 Hours, Helper on the way to Gold with only Props to go to Silver. So are they going to start me back from scratch at the start of the new day on the timer ?

After quickly finishing Familia(l) obligations in the Progression for the Week, the rest of the Week was Party Time indulging in Character development, Wars, Missions, Cuba Loot and that great Rave party now known as Jeff the Knife with those awesome Items as rewards. Now we have to be attached at the Hips with the Family Progression everyday. Miss a day and we lose.

However, we lose absolutely nothing by quickly covering 3 of the 4 Elements of the Progression within 36 Hours, if you plan the claiming of the XP rewards at each level with purrfection.

Now since this is the result of Zynga's Trials, this changeover may be final. You were afraid of a Nerf if Players got Weekly, but it somehow seems to be the reverse. Daily is the nerf. Don't you think so ?
