Zynga didn't do a good job of explaining the new property selection feature located at the bottom of the New York Property Page. The last part of the line of their explanation, "Select 5 properties that you would like to make active (these will appear on your property list). You can build up to 5 items every 18 hours from NY properties" is proving to be true.
Here it is in a more formal setting.
Here it is again in the game just in case you didn't understand it on the Property Page.
And once again.
Oh and four more times. I think we get it.....
....Or do we? Maybe not. The fact of the matter is you can only have 5 New York Constructed Properties active at any given time. If one or two of those happens to be the Sports Bar or the Venetian Condo, you can still craft an item every 8 hours. I've tested this out and both times, I crafted these beauties in the same 18 hour time frame as the four properties that count towards Family Progression (these don't by the way).
In both instances, the crafting timer reset to 8 hours and not 18. I was able to make both these items 8 hours later and was still in the 18 hour window since crafting the 4 other properties.
My friend who is the author of the Mafia Wars Latino Blog captured a video of himself crafting 6 items in one shot. It appears that creative shuffling of your properties will enable you to craft all property items available and the crafting timer it the only restriction. Zynga needs to do a better job of explaining their features, especially if they are going to add directions in the game.

At this point anyone believing anything written by Zynga would have to be called a slow learner. Their instructions are very often misleading or outright wrong.
ReplyDeletegood post and info, Jennifer. thank you
ReplyDeleteI think this is another case of Zynga ineptitude at coding, where it's not supposed to let you change once crafted. However given their lack of skills and lack of desire to give us anything for free its more likely this a glitch.
