Chicago Crew Position & Brazil Crew Changes

By now most of us should be familiar with the Brazil Crew feature. The good news is the Chicago Crew feature is identical to the one in Brazil. There has been a change in Brazil but it hasn't been updated in the game instructions and is causing some confusion.

There are a total of 8 Crew Positions in both Brazil and Chicago. Each position in Brazil and Chicago have the same name and perform the same function. The erroneous description is in popout window you get when clicking on the help mark. The stated function of the Scout is "Find properties that have special Collection items you can steal for your first 3 robbing boards.". We all know this never happened with the Precious Gems in Brazil and it's not going to happen in Chicago.

If you hover your mouse over the Scout position you will get different descriptions depending on what destination you are in. The Brazil description matches what the help window says but the Chicago description states "TRIPLE REWARDS ON DOUBLE STAMINA NEXT 3 BOARDS IN CHICAGO".

The Robbing Board in Chicago hasn't been activated so I can't demonstrate what the Scout does in Chicago, but the Scout in Brazil is now behaving like the description of the Scout in Chicago. The first thing you will notice is the little binoculars no longer show up on the Brazil Robbing Board when the Scout position is active. The second thing you will notice is the stamina cost for each property is doubled. This is either a glitch in Brazil or Zynga hasn't changed the in game description.

The payout on each robbery is triple when the Scout is activated.

Another interesting fact I mentioned in the Mission walk through is that the queue is shared by Brazil and Chicago. You can hold up to 16 Crew Members at a time but they are for both Chicago and Brazil.

Asking your mafia to join your Brazil or Chicago Crew is done separately but regardless of which request is accepted, all members will be added to the common queue. Clicking on the "Ask" button will direct you to send individual requests.

Opening the queue by clicking on the person icon the clicking on the "Recruit" button will generate a news feed request.

The timers for your Chicago Crew are the same as Brazil. You can add new members every 8 hours. The Crew feature should be used strategically, especially when working on a un-mastered destination. To save consumables and energy, activate the Lockpick bonus when doing the jobs that produce consumable because you will get twice as many as indicated by the green border. The activate the Strategist bonus when doing jobs that require consumables because you will get twice the mastery and won't need to use as many. Always remember to activate the Taskmaster bonus before you collect on your Chicago or Brazil properties because you will get double the payout.
