Episode 9 of Mafia Wars Live started off with a "technical issue". There was a sound problem and you could only hear every other syllable. The new Host, Ben (aka Dom Perogi) , showed up as promised with a mohawk and Jeff was looking sharp in his bright red Zynga T-Shirt. Although you couldn't hear them, they looked great and seemed to be having a good ole time. A reboot was performed and the sound sort of improved. Ben did a good job and it wasn't his fault there were issues with the sound.
My recap isn't that great because I couldn't make out what they were saying. The announcements made are as follows:
-The Secret District was extended to end at the same time as the Mission, To Smuggle A Mocking Bird so we got a little bit of extra time.
-The Power Pack nerf was explained. I couldn't hear the sound but that wasn't necessary. We were nerfed not experimented upon.
-Jeff confirms he was the model for the Family Boss Fight and they attempted to explain it how it works.
-Facebook Pinning is here and we should be able to get to Mafia Wars faster.
-There will be a Boost Mastery Event sometime soon.
-There will be a big Marketplace sale to honor the last days of summer.
-The Collector's Edition items will start to include skill points more frequently.
-From August 26-28th, you should get 20% more RPs from Game Cards.
-The forum Q&A session started and players questions were answered.
The "Big Thing" Ben mentioned on the Informant Podcast was the Family Boss Fight. They confused us by saying the Family Boss fight was put on hold so they could work on the said "Big Thing". If you missed it, go here or watch it below.

I absolutely love your blog...As you have a very loud voice it would be nice to see all of these issues concisely put together in one post. What I read above is quite symptomatic of what Zynga has accomplished in the last several days! Nothing is working and now fight drops are almost nonexistent, that is, when I can get through the fine spinning wheel of wait!
ReplyDeletemafia wars has lost its fun...becoming burdensome task to some players...
ReplyDeleteSo, like - are the Zynga devs branching out into multimedia development too? Just wonderin'
