Episode 89: First Time For Everything Or Is It?

In this episode of the Informant Podcast, Blue Eyed Nate gives his final farewell to the Mafia Wars community.  His replacement Ben tells us what to expect from the Community Management Team. We also get some juicy tips about a "Big Thing" that is suppose to be released on Monday.  Ben also reveals that he will be the new face of Mafia Wars Live.  Find out what he looks like this Wednesday at 3:30pm PDT when he hosts with one of the "studio sidekicks".  From the sound of it, we are in for a real treat!

The Crew is joined by Nate and Ben from Zynga. They discuss the role shifts in light of Nate’s resignation from Zynga. In his words “on good terms”. From what we hear it sounds like the company he is moving to made him an offer he couldn’t refuse. We wish him luck in his future endeavors. Jen gives us the low down on the new new Power Packs, and the short Brazil Mission. Chester joins us late and gives his opinions on the new hospital.

    Re: the "Big Thing" that is supposed to be released on Monday.

    Ever since we heard about this "Big Thing" a few days ago, I've been watching comments and reactions with interest.

    While a few players do seem to be anticipating it with curiosity, the overwhelming sentiments that I've observed thus far have been a sort of dread about "What are they going to do to us this time?" and "I really hope it's not another event or city that's as bad as Brazil" - both coupled with hopes that it doesn't result in even more friends leaving the game.

    Really sort of a sad statement about how people feel about the current state of the game overall; it would have been much different this time a year ago.

    Hope the Big Thing is updated war loot and/or fight loot. Maxed on both, not making any further progress at all.

    And hope it's *not* another "Secret District".
