Customer Support does their best to explain why so many accounts were rolled back today. This has to be one of the biggest messes Zynga has created and that's saying a lot. I don't really give a flip about war loot but I know players who legitimately worked hard to get their loot and did nothing wrong. From the explanation below, it sounds like they are taking into consideration the extra war loot players got due to a glitch on Zynga's end. I just don't get why they couldn't just fix the issue, bring out the next batch of war loot and move on.

Declare War rewards adjusted

During a recent audit of Mafia Wars accounts it was discovered that some accounts were showing abnormal behavior and had exceeded the expected number of Declare War rewards. In order to maintain a level playing field for all of our customers, we have adjusted the inventory for those affected accounts to reflect the maximum number of declare war rewards that are allowed under the current system. These items were adjusted for players in the order that they were received. Many players may have been unaware that this issue had occurred to their account, and we apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause. Those accounts that have been adjusted will see a popup in their game that will contain messaging about the update and changes. Players who were affected by this abnormal behavior on their accounts will also see adjustments to their attack and defense stats when the items were removed. Because this issue was caused by abnormal behavior we will not be able to restore those stats or offer compensation for the issue. |

everything is virtual in this stupid game except the effort (and sometimes money) players put into it. zynga's action is a sure way of losing more players. I'm another one...

ReplyDeleteSome people were rewarded. I think people are getting puffy about nothing. They obviously found something. I got the messege, but, nothing was taken. Another family member got 72 items. So he's really not upset, it benefited him. If he was cheated out of that many, he deserves them.

well i for one am glad that all the ppl that use wall scrubber or feed center or whatever bot got rolled back i got rolled back too but i DONT use the BOTS to get in the wars so it stings a lil more for me

ReplyDeleteThe poster below lost 18000 in attack and def, to purchase that much attack and skill points it would cost 63,000 RPs. You have to adjust to balance the game.
lost 4kA and 3kD. I didn't get mine from this cheat but still lost 20-30 each item.
ReplyDeleteWhile it may or may not do any good, it might get some attention if players were to start linking this latest blunder back to Zynga's IPO (initial public offering), where Zynga's founders expect to get between $1.5 Billion and $20 Billion for the company. Wonder what this latest blunder will do to the stock purchase price when the market learns that hundreds of thousands of loyal players were screwed and are now up in arms, many of whom may not return. And when not returning, they don't spend more money on the game.....

Not happy, I lost around 20K atk and def. I earned all my war rewards the old fashion way, with the click of a mouse. Zinga can forget me ever buying another RP if I even play the game anymore. For someone who is all about fighting, take away their edge that they've earned the hard way and guess what's gunna happen?

This is A BLATANT, MASSIVELY-ORGANIZED LOOT STEALING BY ZYNGA, this and many other obviously bad and/or greedy decisions of Zynga (e.g. heaps of massively RP-requiring features, too much non-stop tedious events and closure of old cities) in managing this game has ruined the gaming experience of everyone and forces me to quit MW, the game I once loved so much to play (as I can no longer see any fun of playing MW like I had back in 2009, because they gradually took all the fun out of EVERY AREA in the game).

ReplyDeleteIt has NOTHING to do with bots or scripts whatsoever.... Z lifted the 5 a day war help rule for a week or two by mistake and now is taking back extra loot..... Z made the mistake, not the players, if Z are dumb enough to let it be unlimited loot for a few days that should be Z's problem and not the players....... Sack the idiot at Z who let it happen if you want to do something about it, but leave the players alone, they have done nothing wrong. The gap between paying and non paying players was starting to close up a bit for a while. Z want money any way they can and are happy to scr*w the daily hard working players... They forget that without us daily players they would not have a game to begin with... If you offer a service you NEED your customers... no company is better than its customers.... Perhaps Z should try and remember that!!!!!
