Collector's Edition Item: Tiglon

Share:

UPDATE:  For reasons unknown, 2,000 more Tiglons were released at 5am PDT thus decreasing the theoretic value of this item. Oops.

It's Friday and that means a new Collector's Edition loot item is on sale. This one is the Tiglon that we heard so much about on the last episode of Mafia Wars Live.  The first 2,000 sold out rather quickly but 5,000 more will be available at 9am PDT.
Since Zynga can't leave anything alone, they threw in a twist. Normally Collector's Edition loot items cost 35 Reward Points. This bad boy will cost you 46 Reward Points. If you look at the fine print, you will see that they threw in +4 Attack Points. Nothing is free in Zyngaland so this is what you are spending the extra Reward Points on.
My friend, The Hoff from RYfG got one and you can see he got the "bonus" attack points.
I guess you could consider it a deal since Skill Points normally cost +4 for 14 Reward Points.
Everybody knows that the best way to buy Skill Points is to speed up your crafting timers and get them from your New York buildable properties. That will cost you 12 Reward Points so you would theoretically save one Reward Point.
The savings theory goes out the window when you factor in that you can build a Pair of Stun Knuckles in the Weapons Depot and get +6 Attack Points. Nice try Zynga but the collector's want the loot item and don't care to be overcharged for Skill Points.
On Mafia Wars Live, Jeff informed us that a Tiglon was a real animal and is a cross between a male Tiger and a female Lion. Go here if you are interested in learning more about this animal.

  1. Why is Zynga attempting to make you spend your money on every thing,>> Well they are falling short, Here this will help explain,>>

Zynga announced plans Friday to raise $1 billion in an initial public offering, positioning it to become the first publicly traded company whose profits depend on the sale of virtual goods.

The San Francisco startup - whose popular games for Facebook include "CityVille," "FarmVille" and "Empires & Allies" - did not disclose the number of shares to be offered or the price at which they would be sold.

The offering implies a valuation of $10 billion. Citing people close to the situation, the Wall Street Journal reported the IPO could raise as much as $2 billion - and value the company at $20 billion.

Meaning ZYnga has to raise there value, any way they can, example, Sales = Your money

  3. I was a little disappointed with the link for the Tiglon. It was to Wikipedia, I was hoping for another Randall video, like for the Honey Badger. I can't tell you HOW many times I've showed that video to people. Hilarious!

When IS Randall coming on the Informant Podcast? I can just imagine how much of a riot he would be.

  5. A Liger is the opposite of a Tiglon. It's a female Tiger and a male Lion. Both are real animals.
