On April 13th, many discovered that the limit of 32 (or 40) Facebook Requests was no longer timed. You could 32 (or 40) gifts over and over again. The only limitation is that you can only send one mafia member one request per day. Many felt this was a glitch on the Facebook side but it was actually an intended change.
On May 6th, the number of requests you could send at a time was lowered to 26 but the ability to send more requests after refreshing remained.
Nate brought this up on Mafia Wars Live Episode 7 and I couldn't figure out why as this is very old news (1). The reason became clear to me the next time I send out some gifts. Once you send 26 requests out, the Gift Page will flash a message reminding you that you can send more. You gotta read fast to see it because it vanishes very quickly. It's obvious that Zynga wants us to send as many requests as possible so you would think they would give us enough time to read their reminder. Personally, I prefer to use the Link-a-Nator.
Thanks to Steve Q. for the e-mail and the screen shot. I wouldn't have noticed this change without it.

So why not just let us send as many as we want at once? Why have to refresh & send more?
ReplyDeleteI think this is to make us send gifts to ALL our mafia including those who don't play in a hope to luring them back.
ReplyDeleteRather than just sending a few to our most active mafia.
