We currently have a project we are working on that will help update the FAQs.

Sushivbaby asked: We were told from the Official Blog that the next gifting event would require fewer gifts, but the Freedom Fighters event required 18 more gifts. Why is that?
That particular announcement was made in response to the general public upset at the perceived event overload. After it was made, the team decided to halt gifting events entirely in order to seriously review the feature, rather than applying a “band-aid fix” of just reducing the quantity of gifts required. The Freedom Fighters event is the first gift event to come out of that review and we decided that it would be acceptable to require an increased number of gifts, due to the fact that the gifts being traded are boosts instead of simple inventory-space-hogging pixels.

No plans for this at this time.
FionaWG asked: Why is there not a Promote button for Top Mafia on individuals Profile Pages?
This is a good idea, but the profile page needs a lot of work. As part of a future revamp, we might add something like this.
Godizwithin asked: Can it be made easier to upgrade New York properties? (Restaurant, Dockyard, Office Park, etc.)
It just doesn’t seem like this is a big concern compared to other issues with the game, so there are no plans to do this at this time.
TheDevilFish asked: Currently when purchasing items in the city store, the quantities are 1, 5, 50 and 100. Can 500 and 1000 be added to that?
Because we feel this is not something people would use enough, it doesn’t really make sense to do this instead of focusing on other bigger issues.
SmashedEngineer asked: Why was a family allowed to name their in-game clan after a script that cannot be named in discussion on the forum?
This is a fine line. We don’t want to go around censoring every one's names beyond what is vulgar or obscene. We would like to give as much creative control to families and players as we can.
IsaOwatta asked: When will the family limit of 100 be increased? I have had to spend 200 Reward Points to accommodate my family.
There will be announcements as soon as we have something locked down. The answer to this will most likely be alliances, which will allow larger groups to band smaller families together.
Bull70 asked: Will you be updating and adding levels to the Chop Shop, Weapons Depot, Armory, Private Zoo, Loyalty Program and Fight Club?
Fight club has been updated. The other areas mentioned need to be scheduled.
Miki077 asked: Why didn’t everyone get the two headed snake from the Death by Ice event? The leaders could have received more.
The reward items from the Death By Ice event are designed to serve not only as a nice boost to a player’s stats, but also as a trophy of sorts. We thought it would be more meaningful to players for their reward to signify what place they were in at the end, so we came up with a separate reward item just for the top placing families.
Of course, we wanted to reward player participation in the event as well, which is where Ma comes in.
Markall42 asked: Why are Customer Support agents for Mafia Wars not available more during releases to answer questions and take information of bugs?
It is best to use the email form for submitting bugs to CS and asking questions during releases as it provides us with more info to investigate issues. There is alsohttp://getsatisfaction.com/mafia_wars.
The Mighty One asked: Can we have the Bullet-Proof Berkshire and Luxury SUV added back to the game?
We are investigating why these were removed in the first place.

EyeDetector asked: Why is it so hard to get any prize from the slot machine?
The slot machine has recently been under consideration for some retuning, but I think that has been put on hold for now.
Wheefus asked: What do you think of a Loan Shark idea where you can act as a loan shark to your friends?
It’s kind of a neat idea, but as another player pointed out, there are a lot of logistical issues to address and account for. Because we have such limited resources, we have to focus on implementing features that will interest a significant portion of the player base.
Cornelius asked: Why can the Skill Point Reallocation not be available for a full day when it is ran?
Skill point reallocation is still something we consider to be a tricky animal, with possibilities for it to upset certain balancing. For now, this is considered a limited time thing which pops up for limited amounts of time. We are still studying the effects it has on the player base as a whole before considering any changes to that system.
Brighty asked: Will the Platinum Loyalty program be updated?
There are currently no plans for this.
Kings Wild asked: Is it possible to stop the war screen from jumping around?
We’re asking our tech people about this one.
MTSprite asked: Why are Cuba and Moscow still blocked off and what do we have to do to gain access to them?
Cuba and moscow are not panned to be reopened any time soon. if we were to reopen them, we would want to do an overhaul on them first. and that isn’t in the cards right now.
Charles Pitts asked: Will it ever be possible to gift wishlist items in bulk. (1 to 50 items at a time)
That sounds like an excellent idea. We’ll see if we can get this feature in. |
