Family Chat 2.0

The Official Mafia Wars Blog made a post titled Family Chat 2.0. Since only a small beta test group exists for the chat feature, I'm not going to get into all the details as this won't help many players until all Families have the Chat feature. The good news is that chat history will now be saved and you will get notification for game actions involving your Family members. The number of chats or notifications now will appear inside the Chat icon which is on the Game Header.

You will have the option to open the chat in a new window and move it anywhere on your screen.

Or you can leave it docked at the bottom of your Mafia Wars game page.

There are several new settings which you can get to from the settings icon or the Account Menu Drop Bar.

According to the Official Mafia Wars Blog, there are 10 different types of updates that will appear in the Family Chat and they are listed below. To learn more about the Family Chat feature, read the post reference above or go here for my outline of Family Chat 1.0.

• Declare War
• Asking for help when an opponent has declared war on you
• Operations
• Adding a rival to Hitlist
• Help for Social Job
• Level Up rewards
• Operations rewards
• Requests for Properties parts
• Requests for Energy Packs
• Requests for Collection items
