I couldn't figure it out but I used the "for research purposes" excuse and was given the code. I'll show you a sneak peak. The Gift-a-Nator can be used on any unframed Mafia Wars page.
Giftable loot can be sorted by Name, Attack, Defense, Quantity and ID # for easy searching.
Just pick your gift, search for the mafia member by Facebook name, type in the quantity, add to the queue and click send. In the example below, I send Chainsaw Chester some Parade Ballons. You will see the image of the item you want to send in the upper right hand corner.
When the Gift-a-Nator is done sending gifts, all actions will be listed in the log.
You can send gifts to multiple people by selecting different players and adding them to the queue before you click send. I was feeling generous so I sent all the members of the Informant Podcast Parade Balloons.
This Spocklet is in early testing so if you do figure out how to load it you may find bugs. They usually say "Odd case happened". Surely Team Spockholm will have it running smooth before it's released to the public.

Re-inventing the wheel makes sense when you don't have people available to change the tires. In the case of a blow-out, as in this domain change, or the new Fight module breaking Brawler, it's nice and comforting to know there are people like Team Spockholm standing by, ready to fix a problem on a moments notice. Many of the other script writers don't have the time, and some lack the desire, to fix problems right away.

Just got finished using the Gift-a-Nator. It works great!
ReplyDeleteSince one of the rules for using it is not asking for features, I am going to sit back and quietly wait, in hiding, at the Mafia Wars Loot Lady Blog, awaiting when she announces that the Gift-a-Nator has been updated to include groupings of loot, such as New York Consumables, Vegas Vault Building Parts, and/or Vegas Casino Upgrades.
chucker has not been updated in along time. and not unsure if it even works after last night zygna changing there domain. also not sure if auron is still working on them.

ReplyDeleteThe magic of the gift-a-nator is that it is taking all items from the inventory, so whenever items are added or made giftable, they will be in the gift-a-nator without anyone manually adding them.
Grouping of items has to be done manually, because the inventory information is not accurate enough to distinguish between different property parts. You can see that in the inventory history when you select grouping of items.
Once Martin is back there will probably be threads in the discussion or userecho to suggest features to the gift-a-nator.
Hopefully spockholm will learn from Chucker code a lot as they have been given the code by Arun. So no need to bash Arun, because he has laid the foundation for others. Learn some respect guys!

ReplyDeleteI can't get the Gift-a-Nator to go past the parsing friends step. I know it will work soon, though, as those Spockholm folks are on top of things.
