I'm hearing through the grapevine that Bangkok may be closing soon. I can't verify if it's true or not but just in case, I'll be using all of my Baht to heal when fighting.
I will miss the extra experience you get for helping and asking for help on the last Bangkok job but at my level it's not really much.
Once Faction Store items became useless, I sold them all. I decided to go buy one of each just so I would have them.
Once Bangkok is gone, we won't be able to collect boosts from our Ammo Trading Camps and Yaa Baa Parlors anymore.
The Hyper Alert Sentry and Black Market Ammo aren't that great anyways.
If you haven't finished Bangkok, you may want to try so you can get the skill points for mastering each job. There are also a few achievements along the way that you won't be able to get down the road. Maybe they will offer 3X mastery like they did with Cuba and Moscow.
The collections aren't a big deal because your mafia members can gift them to you. We still have the collections from Cuba and Moscow so I imagine these will stay as well.

not happy about bankok closing i still havent managed to finish 4 months now ive been stuck at 96% due to not having enough money, ive tried really hard to get it finished and i just can't.
ReplyDeleteIf this happens i will prob give up playing ive been playing for 2 1/2 years now and im still not up to level 1000 yet im not far off it gets harder and harder now, yet i see lower levels levelling up very quickly and are not far behind me.
The worst thing about closing Bangkok is that we lose the fastest city to rob in with reasonable 2.6+ exp/s tamina ratios.
ReplyDeleteI level 3, sometimes 4 times a day with the energy and stamina packs and I'm level 1050, I need over 13000 exp to level. I use my Make sure you have 501 mafia and a lot of active mafia. Also I buy the items in NY properties that give me energy or stamina so I can get those raised.
ReplyDeleteThe other thing to finish Bangkok is to sell off the items you don't need anymore from the first few episodes. You don't get a lot but it definitely helps. That's what I did the first time they said it was closing and I finished it. Keep only the items you need in the unfinished episodes and sell the rest.
2 1/2 years and not done with Bangkok? Not even level 1000? What were you growing crops on your farm in the mean time? Are you better in Farmville?

I finished Bankok really easily a long time ago.I didnt build my stadium in Italy and i had a sight that everyone posted their send a fan links.Didnt need to be in their mafia either...150 links at B$25,000 each.You only get money if you havnt built your stadium, if you have all you will get is a fan. I still havnt built my stadium and wont as this link is great to have when in need of money for any city.

Though I finished it just before Brazil got here + allied with both and everything else, so except for the robbing there it could be sacrificed to make room for Chicago or Tokyo ! :D Really curious if that survey leads to one of those two. Btw, when would the new city arrive then ? In 3 months ?

Close Brazil instead - it's a complete and utter failure for the majority of players - and while they're at it, reopen Cuba and Moscow to put a little more variety back into the game andso we can at least use all the cash they stole from us in those.

(yes, I know it can be transferred to Vegas - but it's limited to once a day and the amount they allow is paltry - I'd be at it for years; besides, who needs more Desert Spiders?)
