Reward Point and E-mail Link Scam

Share:

There is another scam going around the news feeds and this one really pisses me off because they are using my blogs name. This is a hacker who is posting what look like the links that Mike posts on this Mafia Wars Loot Lady discussion thread for daily e-mail bonuses.
I've seen two profile names so far and the hacker uses the same profile image.

If you click on the link, nothing bad will happen but you will be taken to a fake Facebook log in page. If you log into it thinking that it was an error, then you will have problems. The page looks identical to the Facebook login page.
The only difference is the url and the window tab icon. It's obvious that it's not Facebook when you compare. If you did login to this page, make sure you change your password asap. I would recommend only clicking on shortened links that are from Zynga (zyn.ga) or Spockholm Mafia Tools (spockon.me) in the newsfeeds. If you want to continue to get the daily e-mail bonus links, only click on the ones from this page posted by an admin and never from the news feeds or other pages.

Thanks to Hvedeknoppen Styrer for bringing this to my attention.

Arvind Jain found another scam going around the news feeds. This one advertises a "Dislike" button and states you can enable it right from the post. Go here to see what Arvind recommends what you do if you click on a scam link.
