When I went to my Mafia Wars account, I had to laugh at the little icon above my X-Men Crest. It's says new and I haven't seen this since the event was launched.
According to Customer Support, the event should be over by now (1). Maybe they got so wrapped up in the new Fighting Module they accidentally turned it on instead of off.
