We just got the ability to decide what order our boosts are used. In the past, the best boost was always used first and there was nothing you could do about it. Go to your fightlist and you will see a little half sun underneath the boost box.
Click on it and Boost Module with 8 slots will appear. I didn't have any boosts but I did get the option to buy some. How convenient!
Rather than be tempted by Zynga's offer to buy some, I went and opened a bunch of Mystery Bags. Seven of my 8 slots filled up with boosts.
Just click and drag the boosts around until they are in the order you want them to be used.
There is also a Custom Drop Bar in which you can quickly arrange your boost from best to worst, worst to best or reverse the order.
If you really want to buy your boost from this module, you can scroll left to right or right to left for more options. You won't find Hollow Points here because they are no longer available in the Marketplace. The A19 Riot Shields aren't either. Maybe they are going to figure out how to make them cheaper as they sold for 10 for 50 Reward Points.
Just because I'm curious, I wanted to see if buying some boosts would count towards the Marketplace Promotion.
You can buy 10 to 250 boosts at a time.
In a surprising twist, the boost purchase actually counted for the Steal Of The Summer Marketplace Promotion.
I also checked to see if our attack boosts were still being used when robbing.
I was happy to see that they weren't.
What is interesting is the help mark states that boosts are used to "increase your attack or defense in a fight" and they "remain active in fights in the "on" position". Defense boosts are consumed regardless if you have boosts turned on or off. The same is true of boosts for robbing (minus attack fighting boosts which are also used in robbing) and job boosts.
